That's one thing they had right with the Umi phone I had ... the rom was pretty much stock with no bloatware but they still stuffed it up.

You can preorder the Redmi Note 5 global version on AliExpress but I wouldn't get the Note 5 Pro as it has less network bands which is only for the Indian market.

Thanks. I decided to not be lazy after I posted and found the same website myself. I meant to order the 5A but accidentally ordered the Note 5A which would have been too big for the person I was buying it for. Luckily I've managed to get the order cancelled so I can get right one ordered.

They need a better naming convention.

The note range is usually always bigger, not obvious to some but you do need to read the specs before you buy, it can be a minefield lol.

Nearly ended up with an expensive paper weight but must give credit to GearBest who cancelled order straight away and gave me a refund not long after. 5A (non-note) now ordered.

Serves me right for ordering it this late at night and not paying attention. Will know for future to compare specs and that Note = Phablet.

A big Swedish internet retailer has started selling Xaomi phones....was quite surprised.

Eye watering prices though 3000kr - 6000kr which is about 270 - 540 quid... For a M1A1 and mimix2.

I don't think at those prices they are so competitive.

I'm waiting for the Mi 7 plus, spec wise it looks to be pretty sweet, oled and bigger battery than the mix 2s.

So after 2 years my oukitel K6000 packed up (I dropped it twice and the screen flickers when on for more than 30 seconds)
Still use it at home as it's got my smart apps for my light ect on it and still get 3 days from the battery !
Went for a Huawei P8 lite and liking it so far.

Doesn't seem far off for me, price depending. The Honor can be had for £380, has 3.5mm jack, the Kirin 970 is comparable to SD 845, and a RAM/Storage configuration I am happy with.

The Mi's do offer better bang for buck, but at the cost of warranty (Honor can be had with a 2 year warranty from JL).

The CPU is an octo-core and fast enough for the things I'm using the phone for.
I have this S8, and am really impressed by the things it gives for so little amount of money. Don't forget that it is only 170ish US dollars.
Basically, I pay close to nothing for it.

Has to be an upgrade from my ZUK, which is SD 820, 6Gb/128Gb and amoled, but the P20 is double my budget (and even £400 is pricier than I'd like given my ZUK was only £300 when I got it)
