**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

Just had the news I've been waiting 2 and a half weeks for. Phone looks to have finally been picked up from their warehouse in France and is estimated to be delivered by end of day tomorrow. Hopefully it'll have been the worth the wait once I've got it.

Broke my s10, so got the Huawei y5 2019 til replacement arrives. From hopping to the other side of the price spectrum I'm pretty impressed by this phones value. 5.7in IPS 300dpi display on entry tier phone is nice. Getting 7-8 hrs screen on time which is epic. It is however pretty darn slow, and useless at multitasking. Cameras are terrible too. Just thought I'd share some thoughts

To be fair to DHL their estimate was spot on. Left France around 4pm on the 23rd and arrived at my house 11:30 yesterday morning. Nice phone for what I've paid but the Note 10 is in a different league.

Considering Xiaomi had a store (London I think?) I'm surprised they still ship from France. Thought they would have had a UK warehouse.

They closed the london store.

I've somehow ended up with a 'Virgin SIM Toolkit' app on my phone which when clicked on say it isn't ready yet or supported. My SIM isn't even with Virgin. I've ran adb tools and it doesn't even list as an app.

Started to get really frustrated. Can someone please point me in the direction of a (likely) Chinese phone that is under 6" for say <£200? I'm trying to find a replacement for my mother-in-law's P8 Lite (2017) and every good phone or deal I find is ludicrously large.

Edit - preferably not a Huawei.

Edit - thought I'd found one, the XIAOMI MI 8 SE but it doesn't have a headphone jack.

The mi a3? Small, decent and has a headphone jack.
