Full international roms are on here mate.

Sorry for the double post.

Nah mate, that the Note 3 Pro. I'm getting a Redmi 3 Pro :)

The way some shops can guarantee no import duties is that they send it to an address in the UK first before distributing them across Europe as the borders are open. That way if import duties need to be paid, it's on the shop.

How are you guys liking the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro? I'm coming up to the end of my contract, my Samsung S5 starting to play up and i want to go sim free and get a decent phone outright and it looks perfect for my needs.

How is the battery, camera and snappyness of it etc? Worth the tempered glass?

RedMi Note 3 Pro is specs wise the best phablet in its price group. Outstanding pearformance, aluminium build, great battery etc. The only real draw back is camera in low light. Still decent though.

The build quality is good but I am not fan of how it looks. Meizu M3 Note 3 isnt as fast but looks better imo. M3 Note looks similar to Samsung S2 which kind of is my all time cell phone favourite. But RedMi is a better phone if you are going into gaming and such.

If you want outstanding battery life you need to look at 6000 mah battery phones like Ulefone Power. They are to bulky for my taste though.

You running miui or have you moved over to a different ROM? I'm running TeamSuperluminal CM13 myself.

Before i got it i thought i would try out miui for a few days then end up sticking CM on it.

It came with a locked bootloader so unlocked that and put the miui rom from xiaomi.eu straight on it and 2 weeks later am still using it..

I have zero issues with it (v6.4.14) and so have not updated to either of the last 2 weekly releases. I'm using 2 sims and battery life has been great, bluetooth works with my car, no wifi problems so for now it's a case of don't fix what ain't broke :)

So had my redmi note 3 pro for about a week and a half, and have to say Im very, very impressed for around £150. I can easily get 2 days normal use out of it, and had the screen on for almost 9 hours (more than half of which was satnav use) and still had about 5% battery life left.

Unlocking the bootloader was a bit of a hassle. Make sure you do your research thoroughly to avoid bricking it when flashing a different rom. I'd advise unlocking it officially, even though it takes about 10 days. The unofficial method is far too easy to get wrong it seems.

The MIUI rom is ok. I liked some of the features of it, but it's battery saving is far too aggressive. I kept having problems with apps being able to sync in the background. I also prefer the stock android experience, so installed the AOSP rom from here:

This has totally transformed the phone for me. You get a nexus like experience and the battery life (as stated above) is truly outstanding. It comes pre-rooted as well, which makes it easy to gain SD card access and use apps like Titanium Backup to easily backup and restore apps. I dont use the fingerprint reader, but apparently it's a little unreliable with v4 of this rom. Hopefully they'll fix it. I'd recommend anyone who has this phone to install this rom if you prefer a nexus like stock android experience.

Thanks guys. Also notice the prices are quite volatile with these things. Today Top One have the same phone £14 less.

Now to decide which colour to get. Crazy that the grey/black is £9 more than the silver/white.

I've had a Redmi note 2 which was awesome, a Cubot x17 which is a nice phone but the screen wasn't very responsive.
I've now got a Ulefone power which is nothing short of outstanding, the battery is ridiculous, I'm on day 4 of standard use with 28% left, perfect for travelling which is what I wanted. The fingerprint sensor is stupid fast and the camera is ace, I will never buy a branded flagship again.

This sounds great. But I use the fingerprint reader all the time, it's a big feature for me.

How bad is it?

I agree.

When I got my first chinese phone I felt like a fool. Why the heck did I pay so much earlier?

Has anyone used both of either the Ulefone Power or Xiaomei Redmi Note 3 Pro?

Just trying to work out which performs better, or any pro's and cons of each and you never know someone might have tried both! :)

Ulefone power looks to be a real contender to the redmi note 3. The battery is obviously far larger in capacity, although this adds to the thickness of the phone. It seems to be available for less as well, around £110.

If this had an AOSP rom, I'd definitely consider it. Having now used MIUI, I'm reluctant to purchase any phone which does not provide a rom which I'd find suitable (preferably a stock android rom). It's just too frustrating having to put up with limitations and/or problems due to the rom, without any option to customise it to your liking.
