The battery life is worth it alone. I'm getting a day and half easily with about 7-8 hours screen on time.
My Samsung Note 3 would barely last a day before. With half the screen time.
Just hoping we get a fully working CM13/14 soon. Would make the phone even more of a bargain.

Yeah it's OK. Theres some weird shortfalls on it though. Like the drop down notification, swiping right to go to quick settings doesn't seem 'quick'. Notifications are also a little strange.
Apart from that it's fine. I would just prefer as stock as possible.

My Redmi Note 3 Pro Alpha has just been sent out, they reckon it'll be 8-9 days.
Will let people know my opinion once getting it, TopOne have been very quick and i also asked them to leave it unopened security tagged as from manufacturer as i didn't want their own custom rom on it.
I can install the global rom myself and it's easy to find the Google Play .apk when i need it.

You also lose the expandable notifications, which is so useful. You can do it in MIUI, but you have to swipe down using 2 fingers. It's error prone, and it usually just ends up opening the app.
CM would be great. For now, I'm more than happy with AOSP.

Yeah that rarely works for me. I think I'd rather wait for a CM release, not having everything working would just annoy me.
Sorry the Pro Prime, it's the one with 3gb ram rather than 2gb.
AOSP rom is pretty much perfect. It has xposed installed, so gravitybox allows a few further customizations which work for me (like being able to clear recent apps).

Its worth checking your miui version on your Note 3 pro, the vendor shipped mine with 7.1.9 which is apparently some custom one which wasn't getting OTAs. Flashed it to the official 7.2.3 which just pulled the 7.2.5 update :3
on 7.2.3.None so far, I've been using it for about a week. The xda forum says the fingerprint sensor works 2/3 of the time - I dont use it, so couldnt say. I think this is the only "major" issue.
