** The Official Days Gone Thread **

Didn't want to get this on PS4 as I was kinda burned out on open-world stuff and I also didn't want to play at 30fps ever again.

Worth it now, in your opinion? I like the atmosphere and the premise seems solid, also should be miles more enjoyable at 60fps.

I would say so, personally I love it. If you can get past the quirks mentioned over the last few pages it's great. If you're a zombie game fan it's a must because of the hordes.

I played it on PS4 but gave up, you're right playing at 60fps + makes all the difference.

I will say the first 10 ish hours are poor but stick with it.

That’s not what I mean, if you dump your bike somewhere inaccessible, you can recover it directly from the map instantly for free.

Would be useful to know what keyboard keys to use to get the bike back?

On PS4 you hover the cursor over your bike on the map and press square. The game should tell you if you try.

Oh ok didnt realise. You put the cross hair over the top and press R to recover.

Just moved to a new area which took forever to get into what with all the cinematics and stuff, but what is really annoying is when he needs to walk with someone he does so as though he has done a doo doo in his pants and cannot walk at a normal pace, for fear of it spreadng down his legs.:D

Just completed and loved it!

Issues I had were:
  • AI getting stuck and running into things
  • Things not spawning as they should requiring reloading of checkpoint
  • Some dialogue would repeat as if it got stuck
  • Holding X wouldn't auto position character
  • Using controller and prompts would default to keyboard after a while

I've also never known a game overuse Goddamned and sonofabitch to quite a degree, easily makes up 50% of total dialogue throughout the game.

Graphically game is great and performance is too, solid 60fps and not a single crash. Hope Sony commissions a sequel.

Is anyone else experiencing these weird red dots/flashes when playing? This is the only reference i could find of it:

Help please if you can...it's so very annoying.

This isn't the game. This is the exact result of a unstable overclock on a GPU. If you've not overclocked, maybe underclock a fair chunk and see if they go away. If so, time to RMA.

Thanks for replying. I haven't overclocked the GPU at all. I noticed i crash a lot in Warzone too....like mutiple times each time i play. I'll try try underclocking it I suppose. :(

Yea, sounds like the card may be on the way out mate :( Install FurMark and do a burn in test, if that crashes/artefacts. You know the card is defo up for an RMA.

Spent all game avoiding the hordes and now I have to do one and for me it has killed the game.
I would stand a better chance if I could actually run but stamina depletion is ridiculous.
Grenades etc take so few enemies out.

One thing I learnt from my earlier PS4 experience was to spend all of my Nero injectors on stamina, done about 5 now and still haven't reached 100% but I'm still early in the game, only just moved into the second area.

10 hours in and enjoying the story so far. I do hate the Ubisoft formula though (clear nests, restore power on Nero sites etc). is it ok if I skip these all together?

Another tip is to craft stamina cocktails they will give stamina back when used so make running from hordes a bit easier. A LMG will work better to if you got one.

Craft proximity bombs and attractors, They will swarm towards it and you can take loads out with any explosives :)

I've finished the story and now clearing up the hordes, they are good fun and can be quite tense.
