Thats what worries me about it.....how can something cost so much to develop and market, then be told it will last for the next 10 years and have such limited amount of content? (same maps over and over)

Because they will add more content to the game as paid DLC.

It's the norm now charge full price for a slice of the game then sell the rest as DLC to rake in the profit.

I haven't got home to play it yet but it is disapointing to hear people being fed up of it already, though I hope that on the access to the raids next week that it will add another dimension to the game. If nothing else it will hopefully be a decent PvP FPS until COD comes out.

What's the endgame you talk of?

In PvP what's the player count? Do you rank up in that to level 20 or whatever the top level is?

Sorry if I sound stupid asking these questions, I literally know nothing abut this game, even though I played the beta, it was an experience that left me wondering WTF is going on here.

:o

Indeed...I dont have a problem with that model (businesses need to make money) but ONLY if the original game has a decent amount of content in the first place.

The comments I'm seeing are really putting me off and pretty reminiscent of the Titanfall hype. I think I'll give it a month and take another look then.

6v6 in domo and tdm. I look at the campaign as a way of building your character up for PvP.

Good valid questions, I've not played it yet either..I clock out and head home in about 20mins.

Should be on it by 18:00ish, see what all the hype was about for myself however I am slightly concerned at the number of people that are bored with it already tbh.

It's a very good game it just does not for me have the content it needs yet.

I imagine somewhere down the line there will be a "Complete Edition" or "GOTY" or something like that with a lot more content.

PvP is 6 vs 6

Your character can level up to 20 through story missions, bounties, PVP, etc etc. Once you hit 20 you can only increase your level above this by acquiring items with a stat called 'Light'

You should probably fins a wiki or something if you want to find out the mechanics of the game, will be easier than people here trying to explain it!

Endgame is raiding at max level (currently level 20). Challenging areas where 6 people group up to take on very strong enemies (these people cannot be randoms they must be on your friends list). Groups have to organise themselves and stick to roles (tanks, dps, healing etc) or the bosses will not be defeated. This is where the real loot is gathered. I read the other day that a successful raid will still take about 2 hours to complete. Obviously longer if the group continues to wipe...

I feel this is the issue with a lot of people not understanding the game. Because it is an fps, they are expecting the typical story layout, not a Diablo/WoW style game with looting and grinding (which I personally prefer)

Give me the Diablo WOW experience but for the love of what you cherish most, repeating and repeating can be very boring and that is one of the main reasons i stopped both Diablo and wow. Repeat, wipe, repeat, kill then get loot. Next week again to get more loot to kill the boss faster. I was thinking that you go fight and fight to get the loot to progress to different better fights, not the same boss! Dunno at Cataclysm i was so fed up and stopped didnt even bother with MoP
