tip buy weapons before going into crucible,:)

I killed a wizard and then walked around a home world type place. Will have a better go tomorrow I just found it all a bit dull.

Exactly, I think Alpha and Beta tests are a great idea as it helps sort out bugs etc before the final release, some people just don't get it though. Maybe all Alpha/Beta applications should come with an IQ test.

This game shows great potential and whats available now is just a very small taste, this isn't a game that will be over in 6-8 hours it cries out to be explored and played with other people.
 
Why are people getting so focused on the gfx. It's an alpha test, most of the textures etc are probably low res versions or keep the download size down. The priority for the devs will be finding and fixing bugs.
 
I thought it looked great, soon noticed that even though you can play single player you greatly benefit from other online players if you set it up that way. Had a great 3 player online experience against that eye boss with it's wave of enemies, cannot see how that could be done alone in single play?,

As for the game itself its very Halo like ( to be expected), looks great, plenty to do and upgrade, overall fun.
 
As with some MMO's (EVE, SWG etc.) the onus is probably on the player to put some work in exploring, having fun and making the game their own. I much prefer this style of MMO to the hold your hand kill these rats snore of WoW etc.
 
Its also crossgen so dont expect it to look like it was made solely for new hardware

I only played briefly before work but i can see myself enjoying it. Borderlands meets halo

I was running along and suddenly 2 other players were with me seemlessly

I didn't say I was focused on graphics, it was an observation.

Edit. In fact if your read my post properly you'll see my focus was on how crap and boring I thought it was.

Generic springs to mind, what I have played so far I've already played a thousand times. I'm happy to be wrong and be blown away at some point.
 
We will see, its not one i have been anticipating but i will give this and the beta a chance to sway my decision.

Problem for me is every game that isnt dark souls seems to fall short! That series has ruined games for me :P
 
Wish I had seen this and signed up before. Looks like my kind of game judging from the twitch streams. May have to pre-order and have a crack at the beta.

I've done just that, pre-ordered for the beta and then will either keep or cancel my order depending if I like it or not.
