Just downloading this one now... My alpha code was stuck in my gmail promotions box - forgot to check it last night, anyhow its zipping along and should be done in the next half hour..

i'll give it a go, start with PvE first - I sorta suck at MMO games.

Same... Just been having a bit of a mess around in the game. i have no idea what i'm meant to be doing..

i just seem to be on earth shooting stuff. So got bored and pressed Triangle and it took me to orbit and now I'm really no clue what I'm doing.

Don't know if you know, but its an FPS, you go to third person in that location (main towns/merchant areas I'm guessing)

I came across those. In the darkness down some stairs next to one of the other explore missions. Can't remember their names but they had "??" next to the name and 5 of us could only do 1 DMG each to them. Quickly ran back up those steps but could hear them roaring down below!

i was unsure about this game, its the first game on ps4 i really enjoyed. did take me some time to understand it

i like to test it with friends, i think you can only have 3 friends playing together seems bit small, maybe if the group was bigger could be too easy.

I think in the explore missions (not sure about others) you can have two fireteams (six players) in the game. Must be some way of making sure these are all friends, at least you would hope.

I can see this game being very good as long as there is enough random content to keep it interesting. The quick enemy spawns can be very annoying and the PvP, or at least the domination stuff has gotten stale already.

Like I said above, with enough content, and enough "random" content I think this could be very good. Definitely a game I'm thinking about buying mainly for the COOP with friends.

Just come off now, really enjoyed it, but its too difficult to concentrate on both this and the England match. Definitely going to be pre-ordering this now. Lack real world friends with PS4s though so if anyone wants to add me please do, it can be a bit lonely when you're getting battered by a map full of mobs ha. (PSN is LoonyLime)

Just bought a ps4 and I've only got killzone at the moment. If someone has a spare code I could have, it would be very much appreciated. Really like the look of this, since I loved halo.

Yes Gecko, I was fighting some walking tank thing and it was obviously too high level for me. I was excited about this game as I thought it was SP like Halo but sadly it's not for me as it is far too close to an MMO for my liking. This isn't a bad thing as many games out around the same time!

Not really, when I first tried the spider in a group at lvl 6 it took forever to kill, however going back at lvl 8 with decent gear was a lot better (and knowing how to do it) and it took next to no time. I guess the problem may be at the moment those bosses are limited but in the full game you won't be grinding it as such.

What surprises me is the alpha is so small yet there is so much to find if you look for it, I found some places this morning that I hadn't seen at all and I thought I had it all covered.

Well played about an hour last night with my mate, it's boarder lands with different graphics.... Which is fine by me! We played BL1 and 2 co-op and had loads of fun. Will be picking this up

I would but have a lovely bug I dont' see any other players and pvp + co-op are empty . All was fine friday night

Played the PS4 Alpha for about 4 hours last night.

It felt very Borderlands mixed with Warframe and Halo. Youve got the hit point markers from BL, the small team coop of Warframe and the visuals of Halo. You basically use a solar system map to visit a planet of your choice to do a mission with a few other players. Other than this I was struggling to see what exactly makes Destiny different to all the rest. So it had a big budget, its made by Bungie and has been in the making for quite some time but did it deliver the goods? Well, kinda yes and kinda no for me.

The graphics look quite good in some areas, with nice light and shadow work but to me it all looked a bit 'hazy' round the edges, is this a native 1080p game?

The gameplay was good but I did find it a bit repetitive at times and the checkpoints are a little unforgiving. In some sequences you have a number of waves of enemies but if you dont make it to the end, you have to start from the very first wave again, which after the 4th or 5th attempt became a bit tiresome. It would have been easier to have a reset checkpoint between each wave. As for the boss fights, I found them very laborious, they take a lot of hits and it just became a process of shoot, duck, health regen, shoot, duck, health regen, repeat. There was a moment the controller almost got launched into the TV as me and two others were so close to beating a boss only to all die and have to do it all over again.

I hope there is more to the final release than what the Alpha offers but I fear it will just be more of the same - choose a mission, get a team and fight the enemy with shoot, duck, health regen, repeat...

I'm seeing lots of comments about underwhelming graphics, which I agree with, however I strongly suspect that graphics are not as they will be in the final release for various reasons, including keeping the filesize for the alpha as small as possible.

As for the game itself, i really like what i have played so far and can certainly see myself gettind addicted to it. I think it's the MMO features that do this for me, I was addicted to WoW for a while!

Overall glad with everything so far, am glad I preordered and can't wait to play the beta, which will hopefully have a bit more to do than the alpha

Cant wait to try this when the beta starts. The only downside for me is I hate using a controller for fps games X_X I suck at moving the crossfire with any speed or accuracy lol.
