Hit level 8 and went back through and the bosses are so much easier once you've upgraded your weapons etc. Also love the crucible, really good fast paced game play. Almost reminds me a bit of unreal tournament in the way it plays out.

This is not a single person game, I would have no idea how you'd kill the bigger enemies on your own in this game..
Good fun in a three man strike team etc.. Can't see it being all that fun on your own. Even playing with random PSN members was more fun then venturing on your own..

Totally agree. I'd like to see how far they take the class system as you level up. At lower levels it didn't seem massively important. IE it didn't matter who you ended up playing with. Would be nice to see people playing some interesting roles within the fire squads.

I played it solo yesterday and ended up tagging along with a couple of randoms I bumped into, and I really enjoyed it. I'm not usually one for MMO style games but I think this has huge potential, especially if we can get a group of OcUK players together around the same level so we can mix and match teams for the various missions. I really enjoyed the loot aspect of the game too, and think that's something that will really keep me interested in it.
All in all, a very successful Alpha for me and I'm now even more sold on it than I was previously. Looking forward to the Beta and then getting the full game in September.

If you got access to the alpha like I did do you automatically get access to the beta or do you have to apply for that also?

You only get Beta access for pre-ordering the game, that's how it stands at the moment any way. I guess they may open it up, but I'd be surprised tbh, as it's a good pre-order incentive.
Yep, It was fun already when setting your strike group to public and playing with randoms, if we get a lot of OcUK people on it should be great.
Maybe closer to release we should get a Destiny PSN/XBLive username list going.

Yea to hell with it, I pre ordered it, I dint expect to like the alpha to be honest but it actually blew me away.
To think how big the actual game will be is mind boggling.
Gameplay was brilliant and I love the hover bike machine you could call at any time had so much fun with that alone lol, all in all very impressed

So, do they take the money out of your account straight away then which gets you the beta in July?
Would stop folks cancelling their pre orders after playing the beta no??
Amazon don't take it until dispatch, so I'm going to keep my order then decide if I still want it after the beta.

I managed to get to Lvl 8 and finish the Devils Lair strike. I was pretty hype for this game and now even more so. It seems like it's borrowed ideas from WoW pretty heavily, which is certainly no bad thing, unless I start having to do daily's and grind cloth. 
Whilst the bosses were somewhat of a grind, I think with heroic/brave versions, good co-ordination will be needed, especially at higher levels.
I can't wait to hook up with a couple of mates and enter new strikes/raids. Gaming perfection for me.

Me and three others completed devils lair last night, it's the most fun I've had with an online fps as I normally suck at them, but due to the co op mode, when I died the other members revived me, like I did for them... we didn't camp out, we got stuck in, and we competed the level ...
it was a lot of fun, and for once an online game was enjoyable for me. I think its due to working in a team, I pent like player against player type games, I just prefer on my own against ai or in a team etc... Unless its a street fighter type game, then one on one is good fun.

They extended the Alpha and i got to play, my intrest was a 4/10 i'd say, looked good but i hated some things about Halo and it just wasnt for me.
However this game is extremely impressive. The game play feels like Borderlands & Halo with the pace of COD. In the Alpha everyone played the objective and it felt fun, no BS camping for K/D or Killstreaks and i had a really fun time, infact i got cut off at 10:30pm and i was a bit gutted. The maps and graphics are fantastic, the vehicles arent too Overpowered but useful, the upgrades looked indepth albeit i didnt play around and look at it that much. But for a Alpha build the game didnt lag, or dip at all. I didnt even notice any frame drops.
My intrest is now a solid 9/10 its a certain day one purchase for me, great job Bungie take my money.
