Destiny is going to be the first game that allows preloading so you should be fine.

* assuming you are talking about the PS4 version
 
Yeah I think they said all pre-orders starting with destiny at the end april/beginning may was going to offer preload.

The Destiny Digital Guardian Edition is £84.99 which I guess isn't bad as the retail at certain stores is more.

Remember to join the Overclockers Clan or someother clan, that will also help you getting people to play it with - there will not be a shortage :)
 
I didn't expect the characters to be carried across even though I'd put a fair few hours into them, much better to start fresh I think and enjoy the game start to end.

I doubt anyone worked hard to get gear, it was lvl 8 and would be out of date in a couple of hours anyway.. I put a lot of time into the Beta not because I was working hard to get gear but because I like playing it so much.

As I've said before I would have been disappointed if it actually did carry over.

I have a PS4 already and I'm trying to resist buying the white one... but I really want one so I may give in before long.

Can't wait for my week off work which just happens to be the week this is out :)

In standard PvP the players are scaled to be equal'ish.. high level players may have an advantage if they've unlocked extra abilities etc but nothing major. Certain PvP events etc though will be gear/level dependent so the better the weapon the better the damage etc.

Destiny favours skill though, so for instance if someone has a really good gun but is hitting you in the chest the damage will be just a fraction of what you do if hitting with head shots.

You're not going to have problems levelling if that's what you mean though and you can level whichever way you want ie quests, strikes, PvP.

At the start I will be getting to max lvl as quick as possible, gearing for the raids and also making sure I get my 100 points in pvp each week.

Well I've played it a lot since release and love it!!

I got to level 20 this afternoon and been running the hard strikes to gear up for raiding, I'm playing a warlock as my main and really enjoying it (the grenades are sweet).. I think it's a really good mix so I can play how/when I want.

Roll on the raids :)
 
Also managed to do Nightfall yesterday, it was OK we managed to do it without a wipe but my Warlock's self Fireborn did save the day at one stage :)

Anyway I got a nice Scout Rifle from it :

I also like that they give you a nice glow around your head to show that you've done it :

So really happy now as that gives me a full set of legendary gear ready for raiding :)

There were rumors that trading would be introduced in a few months but I really hope they don't as it takes away the enjoyment of getting it yourself and that's the bit I like.

You can swap gear between your alts now and that's good enough I think.
