I still dont get it, but for me what/how I played in the Beta said to me I wouldnt mind playing more. For me its like the FPS equivalent of TDU - its social and when I want it to be, chilled...

Shame they didnt max out the graphics, paritys a personal bugbear of mine, but I like the art style/setting

You're missing something.

You need to play it to know. It's hard to explain but it's like an FPS with Diablo style/MMO elements

Lots of people thought the same as you and then got sucked in after playing the Alpha or Beta
 
Hmm I see folks. I mean obviously what you are saying isnt describing what is unique about the game but what you are also saying is that the game somehow manages to capitivate.

Is this next gen only or available for PS3 et al? Whats dumbdown in those version?

Which do you have the more friends on or know people have as this will impact your enjoyment of Destiny more than a few extra missions.

I played the beta on both Xbox One and PS4 and they looked identical to me.

Actually thats not completely true :p, thing is I dont have an Xbox, so ultimately no friends list on there, only PSN really.

I would just pick whichever has more games that you prefer. I have had equal enjoyment out of both and find neither better than the other.

There are plenty of people on here with both consoles and I'm sure there will be a Destiny multilayer threads that you can join for a game on either console.
 
There is actually some playstation exclusive content in Destiny apparently, but I think it is just a map, and will be ending up on xbox also. Not sure of the details.

get a ps4 and PS+ subscription for free ps3 games too

This doesn't really look like my kind of game at all. However, I seem to have been gripped by the hype train!

I live right by a tesco so might just walk round at 9am on tuesday and buy one. Still a little undecided though.
