Yeah, it's been a short season. They said that they wanted to get the new patch pushed out, but next season will be longer although not as long as Season 1. Expect 3 months, maybe 4 at most.

I put over 200 hours in from launch night (bitter, bitter memories...) and about 30 more when RoS dropped. I am looking at a return for Season 3. Is it possible to get a clan invite?

Think I'll try a Barbarian for S3. I really like Diablo 3 now ... I was sooooo disappointed with it when it first came out, but Blizzard have really turned it around particularly after RoS, and I'm finding playing seasons quite fun ... even as a casual player.

I am torn between Barb and Wizard for this season. I joined the last season way to late with a Crusader and although I ended up farming T6, my max GRift was 26 solo I think, not very impressive.

Do I want another Str character or go for something completely different??

I put over 100 hours into this from launch night, then did another 20 or so in RoS and lost interest.

Returning to the game for season 3, I really seem to have lost my way with my primary character; level 70/53 Demon Hunter. I'm sure I was running T2 18 months ago with her, now she just takes ages to kill anything in T1 even. Does anybody have any advice to get the damage up, other than more DEX and CRIT?

Getting the Marauder set is where you need to be for a Demon Hunter these days, aiming for all 6 pieces unless you have the Ring of Royal Grandeur which allows you to obtain set benefits with one item less. Skills wise, go for a sentry build using polar station rune, and cluster arrow with maelstrom rune ( deals cold damage and heals you ). Of course, you need to gem up .... missing 5 flawless royal emeralds on your chest/pants, and one on your weapon. You also want to get a better weapon ... 2 handed bow or crossbow. Ancient barb seems to be the favoured item at the moment, and it's craftable. Finally, for a quiver try and get the Bombardier's Rucksack.

I think it helps to check Youtube & Twitch actually, I was lost when I fired up Diablo for the first time in a year or so yesterday. I just copied DatModz Monk guide to get me started again.

Having said that though I've got a Monk & WD, which one is looking good for S3?

Could I also get an invite to the clan..

Well the handy thing with goin barb is that you will also get drops that your crusader can use and vice versa.

If i end up going WD then ill have that mentality in also finding gear for a wiz, if i choose to go barb then thats a whole farm by itself.

Immortal Kings looks good for barb for S3, i expect WD will end up with jade harvester again which gets a bit dull so i might go for a pet build depending on drops

Heh, I clearly have been out of touch lately;

If you're not an expert on stutterstepping, i suggest Pride's Fall, as you will most likely gimp yourself without proper movement with Hexing Pants.

What the heck is he on about :-)
