I still dont understand how removing stat points is going to effect the late game. Every character is just based on how good their items are, which in effect makes them all the same. Pushing end of act 2 now with 2 teams of 4 and were all coming to the same conclusion.

Me and my friends have spent most of the day playing steadily and enjoying it.

In to Act II now :)

It's bloody marvellous. I really do mean that, I adored Diablo II, but this is by some distance one of the better, more beautiful and enjoyable games I've played in yonks.

Really is looking like a masterpiece, well worth the wait.

Also, bar the issue with the downloader (I borrowed my friends disc's to install) I've not had a single issue with logging in / playing and ping.

It's a semi MMO :p
 
I don't use it but the distinction is that it's not even a mod, it doesn't touch the game files.

But I can't see this game having the staying power that Diablo 2 had..

Same, it's a brilliant game but will people be playing it in 11 years time? I have my doubts. It's definitely more linear.

Ahhhh...you would have thought some of these problems would be sorted by now! Me and my friend finally getting things rolling! Game crashes for both of us...Now we are getting crazy error MSGS!

Not agreeing with you or disagreeing, but surely eleven years ago people wouldn't have seen Diablo 2 still being played?
 
It's actually scary how fast time goes by when you're playing this, I've been playing for around 2 hours now and I honestly thought it had only been 30 minutes or so.

Agreed.

It's been nice to play since the stuttering hasn't been as awful as it was earlier on.

How it's been for the last 2-3 hours for me is very manageable but still not perfect.

Anyway, level 15 so far. Loving it.
 
was having trouble logging onto the european server so decided to have a go at the asian server(as the american server was down at that time), have managed to get 2 1/2 hrs play time on it so far(playing the demon hunter) while the european server play through(monk) is upto little under 2hrs worth. not complted act1 on either character so far.

don't know if anyone is having the issue I was having on the european server where when I do manage to log on my hero doesn't show tho I can still continue my game, clicking profile gave the 'this player does not have a valid diablo 3 profile(error 316921). after continuing the game then logging out the profile was showing fine.

I just went back on to check what the erro etc was as I couldn't remember and seem to have sorted it out, clicking profile gave the error mentioned but then clicking on the hero tab then going back to the carer tab seems to have sorted out the problem as I can now log on and have my hero(monk) show up and no errors clicking profile.
 
didn't get chance to check before bnet went down without vysnc but was getting a solid 60fps with vsync on nad maximum settings + aa with a 7970m pretty beastly laptop gpu
