This is a bit of a stupid question but characters such as the blacksmith are persistant across all difficulties and characters right? I don't want to invest a load of money into it on normal and find I have to start again on nightmare.

I guess money will be a lot easier to come by at the point but every little helps..

Also, what are the penalties for dieing on this game? I played the beta but I never managed to die in it. Do you lose map progress in the current dungeon/item durability loss etc..?
Artisans are shared between characters and difficulties, excluding hardcore characters (I believe)

Death penalty is damage to your gear

Oh dear god.
This game is addictive :S

Was up until about 2am this morning with friends.

Got to Act 3 I believe.

How many Acts are there in total?

I gave in :( had a little blast this morning before work and it's certainly Diablo! It's been a long, long, looong time since I played 1 & 2, but did they also both start in Tristram?

Will have a quick blast through single player on this Monk and then the online fun shall begin.

Diablo 1 did but Diablo 2 started in the rogue camp which was near Tristram
tristram was overrun with monsters in D2 and you had to
rescue deckard cain

can u just use weapons instead of pea shooter thing with the witch doctor ? also does anybodys diablo 3 just keep going back on to windows with a problem occured then try to re-open and says blizzard not responding or somthing along those lines

thanks Dean

The Poison Dart is an ability of which the peashooter is a part. Your equipped weapon provides additional damage to all your abilities.

Managed to log in last night but could only play for about half an hour. Loving it so far though. :D

It's going to take a while to get used to not having to allocate skill points and being able to change the skills around whenever you like. I think it'll make for a more varied game experience but I'm hoping you won't lose the feeling of having invested in a character, if you know what I mean.

new to diablo view playing this type of game seem to take a while to get used to id like to be able to change camera angles rather than just have zoom in and out not exactly first person but to go behind the char as well at a weird 45 % angle and to have normal run in direction keys also

so after playing a couple hours ealy this morning seems ok tho starting to get used to it. graphics seem ok to me nothing special cant compare to D1 or D2 tho

seeing it was free cant complain not sure i would pay 40 quid for it maybe i will grow to like it more seems really easy to level and make gold tho not exactly hard to quest and find gold time will tell

When does the game get harder? Finished act one and felt like I was invulnerable

If you're on Normal mode that's about par for the course.

Normal mode is essentially a warm up, lets you find some basic gear, and lets you enjoy the storyline without too much stress.

Then you move up the difficulty settings and reap the rewards and greater challenges :D

For **** sake. Can't get my mic working properly, i can hear myself typing/talking loud and clear (which i need to somehow turn off) and when i use sound recorder the volume is well too low.

The last two posts fail, hard. What are you guys talking about? :)

I'm guessing you mean crafting, which you can start in act one at the Blacksmiths tent. Basic stuff, but the kit you cat create is better than allot of the early drops (well, for me at least)
