Will probably run it again tomorrow for a coupla hours, not sure how long the free xsplit thing lasts.

Wow man! :D

You do in an 1.5hrs what it takes me 6+ to do . You leave so much gold and items untouched!!!

300 Crit Dam on your Xbow alone!.... 270+ Flawless Sq Emeralds.

If you get bored have a quick look at my DH. I need more CritD but with limited funds.... act III is still a little difficult for me. What can i change up?!

Any way awesome to watch... well done!

Cheers

Here's my opinion on your build and gear.

You have good survivability on your gear, but basically 0 crit chance. You are relying on sharpshooter to inflate your damage number, which is not a true reflection of the damage you will be doing on a regular basis. I would be trying to get some crit chance on the biggest contributers (namely, gloves, amulet, quiver) to start with. You also have no +disc on quiver/chest. These help massively with survivability especially since you dont have legacy natalya's set.

In your build you have 2 abilities that basically perform the same function (big bang hatred dump), that is Spike Trap and Cluster Arrow. In order to be able to use both of these you also have the bat companion to help with hatred regeneration.

I would pick just one of these 2 abilities and this should free up 2 action bar slots for other things (since you can probably lose the bat as well).

At the moment its hard not to recommend Vault with Trail of Cinders for one of those spots. Since you already run tactical advantage in your build this has the added bonus of synergising with that as well. You could use something like Rain of Vengeance in this spot instead I guess, I never got on with it but it is still very popular.

For the final spot you have a few choices, but for a non-nats user its hard to see a build without preperation, either with battle scars or backup plan rune.

Finally, if you are going to use big bang hatred dumps, you should really be using a crossbow. Since xbows have a much higher minimum damage and these effects key off your weapon damage, you will get more bang for buck from an xbow.

As for leaving gold and rares on the floor, well I only really pick up ilevel 62+ stuff since its not really worth the time to identify loads of low level crap, that time would be better spent farming more since one 1 mil+ drop more than covers the vendor value of the stuff I left behind. I dont bother running around for all the gold for the same reason, although 1500+ gold piles I do tend to try and get. Also if I'm getting near the end of a run and I have inventory space left I'll pick up a few bits to fill out my inventory before the end.

Decided to start a Hardcore Barbarian this morning. Finished Act I and its gone quite smoothly so far. Almost died against a mob of those huge entombed corpses when a champ jailer group of berserkers showed up too but got the potion off in time. Butcher was pretty easy compared to Queen Aranae who did a fair amount of damage per hit.

Dunno whether to jump on the AH and kit myself out a little better for Act II or to just go for it. Tempted to go AH myself up. I don't exactly get second chances if I run round the first corner and find out that the wasp projectiles hurt like a bitch.

Really struggling to find the urge to play today - I'm stuck with having to farm Act 1 for about the billionth time as I just dont have the gear to survive Act 3 still.

I've got 24 million in gold but I'm trying to save so that I can some of the Natalya's set (ie boots and chest)

You started it today, and got through to / completed Inferno Act I?

I must be wasting a lot of time meandering about when I play. Could not have expected such a difference in time / progress.

Thats why I started a hardcore char. A refreshing change from farming Act 3 and getting jack **** to show for it. Seems the only way to make gold in this game is to have played non-stop since release and to only like to play 1 char (****ing stupid move there from Blizzard). Unless you have really high MF you never seem to get anything.

Inferno? Wtf you smoking O_o. I'm talking about Normal.

Just picked this up for a couple of mil:

Any good?

Inferno? Wtf you smoking O_o. I'm talking about Normal.

I've only ever played hardcore, apart from a one-off initial foray into multiplayer with my brothers, and as such only made it as far as lvl 47 (wiz) in Act 3 Nightmare, so I'm not the most experienced player and something of a completionist even if it's not that productive for xp. So I don't really have any idea of the normal passage of time it would take for someone to level up if they're used to playing the game in farm mode.

I also wouldn't have expected any use of the AH to get through Normal, though that said, I've never used it at any point (and hope/pray I won't run into a trap that's unbeatable due to my gear, as opposed to just me dying because I played like a muppet).

Not played as barb before, mostly wiz and some monking, but I found things don't really tend to get particularly dangerous until that green lizard dude in act 4 normal (iskatu), Diablo himself, and then Nightmare is just about fine until end of Act 2 so long as you may close attention to champ abilities and sploding gluttonous maniacs. My other close calls tended to happen with ranged attackers.

Ghom pre-fix might also have been troublesome for a hardcore soloer, but he seems regular enough now pre-Hell.

For the most part yes, but it is hardcore and not exactly forgiving. I remember numerous times when levelling up other chars that enemies out of the blue completely kicked my ass (Shatterbone outside Arcanus is very good at it even on Normal for example).

By a couple of mil how much do you mean exactly?

2.5m I think.

It's definitely an upgrade on what I had anyway. Double the crit damage, faster fire rate and damage converted to life all make a difference. If I can sell my old weapon for 1m+ i'll be happy.

Hey guys, gonna try my hand at streaming a bit later tonight if you want to watch me fooling around in Act 3. Should start the stream sometime around 20:00. A few caveats

1) I'm running this on a laptop over wifi which lags me out a little, if it gets too much the stream will get killed.
2) Since I only have 1 pc here its kinda hard to chat on the stream at the same time.
3) I've had a few drinks :p

Stream will be at

http://www.twitch.tv/brokkah321

I'll post before I start it up.

Stream up again now.

Stream over, gonna watch the grand prix. 3 legendaries tonight, pretty cack ones (Hellrack wasnt totally horrible) and a chunk of exp.

I'm yet to get a legendary or green drop... what do people do with all the blue/gold items that arnt worth using / AH? sell the vendor or salvage them? i've been running around act 1 inferno for the last 2 hours with 5 stacks of valor and yet to find anything id consider keeping for any of my characters
