Been playing quite a bit of hardcore over the weekend. Was slow going to start with, when you don’t get a free set and have no other characters to farm bloodshards with everything takes a little bit of time to get going.

All is going well so far though. Managed to get most of the gear I need for leapquake, still missing a restraint at the moment, and because that spec is pretty tanky it has been pretty good so far. Managed a GR 50 so far, once I have restraint and some higher level gems I should be pretty good to go.

Being hardcore though, it is probably worth levelling a gem of ease before I get to into pushing rifts. Also need to get some more paragon levels as they help a lot with damage and toughness.

All in all I am enjoying it so far, that may well change on my first death into omg I hate hardcore. :)
 
How does the augmenting work, I just augmented my weapon with a rank 35 gem and got intelligence added, I assumed I would get my main stat of strength added. Is it random, or is it dependent on which type of gem you use to do the augmenting?
 
I think it depends on what item you pass along with the gem so if you want str put in a red gem?

I shall add you tonight mate, if you need a clan should join up quiet a few active people and all are willing too help. I've had Dean and Kmax drag me through TX recently which helped a lot.
 
The levelling process is pretty silly now, a shame really as it was fun first time around.

I'm not really sure how I'm feeling about this season, before this one I couldn't even break GRift 35/40 odd at at paragon 500, this time around I was completing 60+ before paragon level 300. Maybe it's just that I'm playing a Demon Hunter properly for the first time, but it certainly feels easier.
 
trying to decide whether I can be bothered to do the Guardian stage on the Season 5 Journey (3 minute Rift is the main problem) putting off swapping to HC (which you need for the Guardian title) as once I do I'll probably stay on it - did the same last Season and never went back to complete the rest of the S4 journey).
With regards to levelling your wizard James just go back to your main level a gem of ease to 25, use it with the highest damage 2 hander you can find and pass on an hellfire amulet (or get the new toon to make one if you have the mats - they're not level limited and roll as a level 70 item whoever makes them). I just made a WD for the Set Master achievement / conquest and it took me less than 3 hours to get from level 1 to level 70
(I was levelling at T4 without a problem). it would be even faster in a group I guess.

i do need a clan, i got removed from the last one for no reason after being in it for a week or so.

i have a few people on my friends list but that's it lol

if anyone has the ability to invite me to the OCUK clan feel free to do so :D

i better do some reading up on wizards as apart from intelligence i haven't a clue what else i need for them lol
 
Me and Sharpy have been playing some 2 man over the past few days, Wiz + Monk combo.

The first day I was REALLY bad at twister spec so I think we stumbled at lvl70ish. Second day I got my grove on a bit more and we got 75 on farm and did a 77. Last night we got some 79's down and tried some 80's!

Once we get the RG kills perfected I think we will be on the leader boards. We need to work on our positioning in regards to were my twisters are stacked because when we get it right the RG melts. We seem to have plenty of time when the RG spawns.

Anyone else playing 2 man and care to chip in with some tips? :)

I still remember my hardcore death in Diablo 2 from a server side spike. That was 15 years ago haha so for me hardcore isn't going to happen except for the seasonal achievements

Strange you got removed there's only 2 online that have the ability to do that!

Pretty sure he left the OCUK clan for another clan, and then maybe was removed from the other clan. I can invite him back to OCUK tonight when I am on.
 
sorry for the mix up.

I was referring to another clan i was in with a friend at work, i was never in the OCUK clan as only recently started playing Diablo 3 again (just before season 5 started)

cheers Porkie, lets hope it saves me from the public games of people setting the grifts too high and then leaving as wiped on first elites and wasting my keys! lol

its not so bad when people you dont mind playing with do it but when its randoms its a pain lol!

i have started up a wizard as got board with the crusader and being too spongy lol.

didn't realize when you started another seasonal character you keep your paragon levels :D

Was about the say the same thing. ED was definitly in the clan when I last saw the list. Not seen another officer online so if it not you and not me. ED you left yourself right?

Edit - sorry just checked the list updated by Teaf and you trght he wasn't in it.
