Well there are mods for both, but as sk8board said he had an extended mag and handle on it I assumed he'd already added them.

To add a mod you highlight the item and press square/x. That'll bring up another screen where you can attach the mods.

sorry for being such a noob, but how do i use the mods?
I have lots but cant seem to assign it to a weapon! Currently running a purple machine gun with extended mag and handle but there doesnt seem to be an option to add a mod

There are two kinds of mods, the ones under your weapons in your inventory are the ones for your weapons and in most cases can be assigned to any weapon.

The ones under your armour are for armour and can only be assigned to certain pieces. If you hover over a piece of armour you can see whether the "mod" box at the bottom is greyed out or not. This will tell you if you can mod it or not

When the incursions come out we'll get some of the destiny guys together for a run through, should be fun. Currently levelling up with my nephew so have to wait for him to be on to progress but after we hit lvl 30 that wont matter.

Looking forward to the challenge modes.

There is an extraction point on top of building somewhere in there, use a rope inside a broken elevator to get up and use that one. Safest one I've used I think. Not many enemies on it and others don't seem to spawn in when the rope is about to drop from the helicopter.

Got to 30 this morning and been in the dark zone since. So much fun but stupidly hard unless you get lucky with a good group, which luckily I did.

Anyone on later tonight that fancies grouping up? (PSN:TSteedie)

I'm level 8, was playing last night just trying to see how far around the map I could get unlocking all the safe houses. Was doing okay until I happened across a bunch of level 15 enemies who pretty-much one-shot killed me every time. Rather amusing though.

Meh I'm lvl23 and still got battered by lvl15 enemies, my fault really as I just kinda ran head first into them then realised oh crap, turned away and tried to run off to get into some cover and ended up getting killed.

Was rather fun though, next time round I just crept up on them...threw a seeker mine at them and watched them get blown up lol.

Just completed my first challenging daily, really good fun, shotguns and snipers are not your friend!

Hit 30 yesterday but now finding the DZ is impossible solo. Just too many high level Mobs to get anywhere. Managed to do 2 of the dailies yesterday but the Challenging one was too hard.

Any tips on which of the missions is the easiest on challenge mode? I can see it taking me AGES to get enough coins to be useful.

Completed all the dailies last night including the challenge one and also done another challenge mission the one where you have to get to the crane to drop the napalm at the end. Challenge is not too bad IF you don't try to rush mobs and take your time, use cover well and work as a team. Expect to die a lot though lol.

Got enough of the credit things to buy a weapon so bought the Vector gun without realising it's a short range weapon! Not sure I will even bother making it, so now need to farm more tokens to make a better gun.

I noticed the incursion icon has appeared on the map now in the bottom right and it says coming soon but it also says its reward is a set item!!! Can't wait to get some of that

Lincoln Tunnel and Lexington are the easiest by far, My go to group can do Lincoln tunnel in around 15-20 mins now.

Problem is its the best way to get PC now by far and makes going to the darkzone a little pointless.

Farmed enough credits last night to buy the the Handstop and the Muzzle break mod recipes only need the scope one now to have all gold mods on my Lib and Sniper, hopefully the refresh will give us recipes for small guns so i can get some gold mods on my Vector as well.

Then i can move on to Gear cause most of my gear is bad random High Ends.

Hopefully there will be something good on the vendor as well cause ive got $700,000 that are totally worthless. its like gold in Diablo 2 theres just nothing to do with it.

The Vector is a beast, SMG have a high level of Crit, it melts stuff. I would say a large majority are using one atm

With normal credit and darkzone credits the best thing to do is buy weapons/mods/gear and dismantle them for mats.

The challenge daily today is the powerplant. Around 7mins at the end to kill a couple of waves :/

My last group we could only get to the last wave I think with 27 secs to go

Purples will still do you well Si, look up the loop for DZ01-02 (McD can advise oyu on that) and make sure you have a good amount of scavenging on your knee pads and mask (I had about 75% total first time through) and you'll be swimming in them. I've DZ'd about 3 times since hitting 30 and have had 2 high end drops each time, mostly mods but did get a Socom MK20 SSR last night that has 20 in the mag, it's fun to spam!
