BETA Extension and available to everyone!

Over the last few days, we’ve seen an incredible amount of excitement for the game, leading to many of you registering on the waitlist for a chance to join our Closed Beta. We’ve been working very hard to let as many players as possible join, while still maintaining a smooth experience for everyone.
Earlier today, we announced that we were now inviting as many players as possible from the waitlist, in addition to those who had guaranteed pre-order access. We’ve started sending invites, with priority given to those who signed up first.
In order to allow everyone who has access to fully enjoy the Beta, we’re happy to announce we’re extending the duration by 24h for all players. As a result servers will remain open until Tuesday, February 2nd, 12pm CET | 6 am EST | 3 am PST.
Thank you all for your amazing support!

Go here and join the waiting list and await your access e-mail

Definitely having issues in the DZ where I'm running along and it stutters ie seems like a frame rate drop in the dz.

Played for a few hrs today, the more I play it the more I like it.

I know rouge is a colour and rogue is what you go in the division, but I made a typo. Big deal. calm your ****

Lol don't mind him, he's a Utd supporter so his stress levels are very high seeing as they are absolutely **** at the moment lol.

The most fun in darkzone so far has to be camping and baiting teams near the safehouse for easy darkzone credits. You could almost smell the frustration from the other players haha. To top it off my game bugged out so i couldnt see martin even though he was showing as right next to me on the map. Better yet, enemy players couldn't see me either and i just stood in front of a bunch of level 9 yellow bar adds and took all the damage from them for at least 2 minutes. My screen was showing red damage anumations but my health wasn't changing and i could just stand there and take it all. Was epic!! hahaha

So far I'm really enjoying this. I spent many hours playing this yesterday and almost hit level 8. I did all the missions I could find, side quests, encounters, the lot. I upgraded my medical wing, I sold much stuff, bought some stuff, found lots of guns, shot lots of things, killed lots of bad guys and had a blast in the Dark Zone. I think we may just be on to a winner here. I suspect that the crafting system is going to be very similar to that of Dying Light, which is a very good system indeed.

The density of enemies is a bit sparse, the game could do with more things to kill. At times I was walking for ages and didn't find anything to kill which did get a bit boring but then this is the beta so hopefully the devs will add more. The lack of variety in bad guys is a bit annoying as well, the yellow-bar "elite" guys are just normal bad guys but with ridiculously strong guns (despite them being tiny little SMGs) and take more hits to kill than a tank. Some form of variety there would be nice, maybe a boss in the back of a pickup or something. I would also like to see some more direct evidence of this virus, so maybe some infected people here or there. As it is the only threat from the virus is the "contaminated zones" which pose pretty much no threat at all that I could find.

The atmosphere and graphics of the game are excellent, I love the setting and think there is loads that the devs could do with it. At first I wanted a small mode of transport like a moped or something but in hindsight the map doesn't really cater for it and being forced to run around forces you to take in your surroundings which is quite nice given how well made the map is.

The controls are a bit iffy at first but they're already becoming second nature and I think the devs have done well to squeeze as many commands as they have in to a PS4 controller. Not having the ability to jump is still a curious one to me, I can't remember when last I played a game in which I couldn't jump (Killzone 2 iirc). You can however vault over everything so you get used to it.

Can't think of anything else right now, but something rather large would have to go wrong to make me not buy this game, I loved it.

The inability to walk off edges is so frustrating

so many times I've gone to jump from landing onto the stairs and it won't let you jump off the edge. It should just let you go off the edge and take fall damage.

It does show a warning icon if it's an edge you'll take damage falling off doesn't it? Or is that only if you vault over something with a drop on the other side?

Heads up on potential cheating issues for the PC guys. X-Post Reddit: PC version will be plagued with cheaters
This is absolutely amazing how ****** up the Division's netcode is. Almost all stats (excluding currencies and health) are calculated and stored on the client, and server just accepts it without any checking. You can have unlimited ammo in a mag, super-speed (this, actually causes players to go invisible also), any desired critical chance, no recoil, unlimited medkits and nades and so on and on.

This does annoy me too, on a few of the side missions that ended on roof tops I've found fire escapes that lead (almost) all the way down and which has a hole where you would think you can drop down through but cant.
Why give me access to this when I cant drop down instead of making me retracing my steps back through the whole level, they should give you a quick route back to the street after the mission.

I'm torn on his game, I really am, I love the dark zone stuff (but there are things that need fixing here too), but I worry about the content for the game, I can see it being Watch_Dogs levels of 3/4 mission types and that's it and it will get repetative quickly.

That will get boring very quickly.

I might leave it a month to see how it pans out and get it if community feedback is good.

They do let you drop off, sometimes it's just a bit picky over exactly whereabouts you drop from.

I'm in two minds over the Dark Zone. I had loads of fun the first time I went in, but I didn't enjoy myself at all last night. It seems to be far too easy to go rogue when you don't mean to. There were 5 of us chasing a rogue team of 3, and I was firing off shots whenever I had the chance. As I was shooting, one of the other team ran into my line of fire and took a few shots. I went rogue straight away, and before I knew what happened, I was dead, losing loot, xp and cash. Really frustrating and something they desperately need to change IMO.

I do love the PvE side of the game though, and I really hope they support that as much as they can. It seems like it would be fairly easy to add some kind of randomly generated encounters that just spawn over the map, which would add a lot of extra content for those of us who prefer PvE content.

I do agree that the "buffer threshold" for going rogue seems to be a bit too sensitive, there were a few times where someone accidentally put a few shots in me and went rogue. Luckily they were decent about it so we were too, we just stuck with them until it wore off.

As for the edges thing, it is fussy like you say, but the easiest way I found to work around this is to double tap X to roll, that worked most times for me.

I think with a few tweaks and changes this could be an immense game, provided there is enough content.

My thoughts on the game: I have enjoyed playing this for the most part but based on the strength of the beta I may cancel my pre-order.

The setting of the game is decent (post outbreak lawless city) but the atmosphere doesn't give me any feeling that I'm in any danger from being killed by crazy people, looters or being possibly infected. It's all a bit lifeless and whilst initially nice to look at it's very dull.

I was playing with Martin and Parko on Saturday and we were running round the city messing about for ages, but we never felt in any danger despite the odd mob of NPCs. Destructive environments? Yeah ok, shoot out some lights and they turn themselves back on. Ledges you can't fall off, really? You should be able to plummet to your death from a roof if not careful, you can in Destiny... Also, in a massive city like this, why can you not enter more of the buildings and do a bit of urban exploration? Bit of a missed opportunity I think. Oh and why the hell doesn't anyone use a car? Someone must as there are tracks in the snow, but everyone is on foot?! :p

I wanted it to have a similar atmosphere to The Last of Us where you always feel uneasy and maybe have to navigate traps or maybe be able to set your own in the DZ. Quite a disappointment, but maybe I was expecting too much?

I do like the game mechanics for the most part and, like Destiny, the quest for mad loot, mods and upgrades is going to keep people playing, but right now I'd have to say Destiny, even at launch, was a far better and more polished game. I don't think The Division knows what it's trying to be and it's pretty soulless.

I really hope they reveal lots more in the lead up to release to capture my interest again, but I get the feeling this will be another Watchdogs. Good ideas, but no depth and ultimately disappointing.

Does anyone know the difference (in the DZ) between agents with just red health bars and the red health bars with the scull(rogue) icon above?
