***** The Official Division Thread *****

personally i'm really looking forward to the crafting mechanics. Something that was missing from destiny and that I enjoyed in other MMOs.

I personally think we've only begun to scratch the surface of the character customisation as well. All the talents & perks were chopped off the beta and abilities restricted. In addition the gear we can get was limited as well. I think you are going to see lots of tactics come the final game on secret builds and stats which enable you to do more damage that spread round the community. Players in the know are then going to find armor that counters those builds leaving players think they have an upper hand only to suddenly come across somebody with the right setup to counter that and all of a sudden it doesn't melt you the way he expects.

Lots of fun to come.

I won't be on until a week or so after launch, stupid staff order delay!

How come, do you work for Ubisoft or something ?

Even if you did play the beta, there is still not enough there to make me think this is a 100% definite purchase.

Yep pretty much how I feel, cancelled my pre-order and will wait for the price to fall ie a couple of mths and it will be £20 odd I imagine.

Played the beta twice and i wasn't that impressed with it. Of course the full game will possibly be better but I just don't think it's my kind of game. I found the beta laborious at times and dz was a **** fest of gunning everyone down who came into your path...yes it was fun the first few times but then got rather boring.

Oh well destiny it is then lol, not that I play a lot of it these days. Awaiting some new decent content on destiny, which will be mths away lol.

£36 for Gold Edition. Thanks Argentina!

How did you manage that?

Use a VPN to connect to Argentina store and use a currency card (Revolut) to make transaction with no fees.

I have Argentina, Russia, USA and Colombian accounts under my MS account so use digitalgameprices.com to find cheapest option and buy that way. Games are region free so no impact :)

£36? I paid £32.45 for it last night from the Argentina store also
Guess it depends on exchange rate at the time etc
I was surprised how easy it was to do, as McDaniel^ just pointed out

Also got the new TWD Michonne game for just over a fiver from the brazil store, its £11.99 on the uk store

I'm having second thoughts about investing in this game. Vivendi are trying to take over Ubisoft by the looks of it (they've been buying up shares and currently own 11% - once they get to 30% its takeover time!)- if that happens it will probably impact this game bigtime with new overlords. thoughts?

It also looks like ubisoft are suffering financially at the moment - don't think this bodes well for our 'dedicated servers' scenario no?

Some of that could be years away before we'd see impact.

I really don't give two **** - £36 for me is about 2-3 cinema trips, so assuming I get more than 6-8hours out of it the cost is nothing. I mean I've spent a lot on games and setups and its very rare I don't get my money back, I always find it amusing that people go through these tough decisions and have thought processes like the above, but the majority happily pay out £50-80 on a night out that leaves them with a headache (albeit a tasty kebab too).

Personally, I think i will get my moneys worth, being in the Alpha, C Beta and O Beta I sunk a good 12 hours into just them!

Like the way you think!

this is great news

"Phoenix Credits are not micro-transactions. There's no in-game currency that you can buy with real money. Here's the official description:"In Tom Clancy's The Division, there is no in-game currency that you can buy with real-world money. Phoenix credits is purely an in-game mechanic."

The only content you can purchase is DLC and the Season Pass."

Got a pre order but it does always worry me when we get so close to a launch and there are still so many questions to be answered. Really worried about endgame content and have a feeling we will be dissapointed. Hope I am wrong.

OK, so after saying I didn't think the game had enough content and subsequently cancelling my game collection pre-order, I've folded like a cheap suit and bought the gold edition from the Argy store. £32.70 seemed like too good a deal to pass up.

Edit: When does it come out??? :D
