***** The Official Division Thread *****

DPS is a rubbish stat I've found. I've had guns which have massive numbers but due to their recoil or range, I only land half my shots. Then I've had low DPS weapons which are like lasers and just melt everything.

This is an interesting watch.

Well I placed my order last night at around 5-ish and got my copy this morning. No wonder I use shopto, have never ever let me down.

At some point tonight I'll give his a bash, need to get my destiny fix out of the way lol.

I'm loving this game, once I got to Manhattan I've not even started the main story mission. I get too sidetracked doing random side missions and collecting cell phones etc...

Those Cleaners are a real pain in the arse and have given me a tough time when dealing with them. Not ventured into the DZ yet, maybe do that tomorrow if someone wants to help me out :D

Tip for the cleaners is to try and snipe their gas bottles from a distance, normally it Insta kills them and if they have mates near who don't get out the way they go up also lol

Managed to lob a grenade at a pack of 3 Cleaners and its explosion set off 2 of their tanks, it was like a chain reaction of explosions, hilarious.

I find my style of play has been to snipe headshot as much as possible and switch to assault gun for the dudes who run at you, I have the electric turret also which stuns enemies, it's great for aiding in getting off headshots

Really enjoying the game, definitely looking forward to the 'raids' and what not. Definitely won't be investing in any more Destiny DLC now I think.

Much harder than the beta too which is good.

Can't see any flaws in it for me personally as yet.

Edit: If anyone want's to add me feel free, got a few of you on here already. fringe_element

Played a couple hours on PC, very good so far, enjoyed all the story missions. Now going to sit tight until I can main it on PS4 as I cba sitting at a desk :)

Going to have some catching up to do I can tell

End of day 2. Continuing to be able to do all the story missions on hard solo mode. Quite the adrenalin rush when dealing with the big bosses. Reached level 16. Obtained my first purple (superior) item which is a marksman rifle. Base at 50% completion.

I'm really enjoying it.

Actually love that free roam is PVP enabled, it stops it from just being a boring grind, you have a lot more choices too make, is it safe too call in the chopper, are these players going too jump me, should I jump someone with some nice loot. And the trolling you can have, oh the delightful trolling.

Twice now I've ganked 3 players as they were about to extract their gear. Full blues; I swiped it and extracted it all for myself. I bet they were raging :D

High level DZ will be amazing. Imagine teams of 4 coming up against each other? All healing, laying turrets, support packs, mines etc. Kill times will be much higher, so you're gonna have co-ordinate well to bash people. Especially as the top DZ is 30 only.

How are you doing on them on hard solo? Must take hours.

Play my first co-op games last night. Was really enjoyable. Everyone was mic'd up which made the whole gameplay a pleasure.

Really? In the beta it was player level....unless it's changed?

Its false information. The level of the PVE enemies scales with your proper rank. not your DZ rank.

The DZ is bracketed on your player level. Reach level 20 and you go into a new bracket.

Go back and revisit the dark zone and the enemies in DZ01 are much higher level, even if your DZ rank hasn't changed one jot.

DZ rank is just used to control your access to DZ gear, its not used to define the difficulty of the PVE enemies.

How in gods name have people got to level 30 already? There are some on Twitch who are level 30 AND DZ rank 30.

The popular youtubers were given press access and able to play the game on Monday. If they are popular youtubers, they are probably at least semi professional and have been playing the game solidly all week. Our group has been playing since lunch time Tuesday and even with real lives we've still managed to get to level 22/23/24

How people are doing the story missions solo on hard is beyond me :D I find normal a challenge.

Up to level 10 now, taking things nice and slow, loving the atmosphere in this game, some of the stuff with the cleaners is pretty creepy, and some of the boss fights are rock hard ! had to completely cheese one of them.

Peeked into the DZ at level 9 and got one shotted by an npc :D haven't been back yet....

I really like the video play back on the bits of intel you find, that one with the cops from the police car dash cam !

Not really. The enemies are always the same level as me and I'm upgrading my weapons when I can. I have my little turret as companion. The game scales depending on the number of players in your group.

Or maybe I'm just ******* ace at it! :D

Ahhhh, so the amount of enemies it spawns depends on how many are in there?

That makes sense, I was in with three randoms yesterday on the refugee camp mission and we were getting swamped because they kept pushing right up into their faces and getting killed which then me to be the only one left and getting rushed by 4/5 high level cleaners.
