Leadtime.

Potential Customs/Excise price (this maybe known but I whatabout the courier handling charges).

Sellers frame of mind/arrogance (inflexibility to consider bulk discount).

Nice product but still overpirced imho for what we get (currency doesnt help at the moment).

Im sure alternatives will appear in the UK well within the 4-6 leadtime they state for the product.

Someone mentioned that the "boxy" nature of the Dodo makes it look like a thin netbook if anything (not a bad thing I guess but... meh Im running out of excuses :D)

(I also did order the Apple one which is not being received well but it will tide me over I guess :))

$324.70 @ $1.47/£1 = £227.69
Per case = £37.95

I will add on VAT and Postage once they arrive as I don't want to end up owing people money as VAT/Import Duty has not been applied, just in case!

edit: The money hasn't been taken out my account instantly so I will wait until it has before telling people exactly how much the case's are! Exchange rate might change slightly between now and when the money is taken out so don't want to overcharge people by a few pennies! :)

When I ordered my iPad my bank decided to be ultra careful and put a security hold on my card (sorted after a 10 min phone call with some of the weirdest security questions ever).

I couldn't find my online banking login username, I had it on a card in my wallet, so had to order a new one. Hopefully it'll be here tomorrow or Friday and if so I shall bank transfer the cash. If not I'll gift it via paypal on Saturday.
 
I think it will work out the same if you just order one direct, which costs $74.95 = £50

If you get hit by customs then it would be £230.18 plus VAT, which would work out to be £270.46

270.46/6 = £45, then the del charge to send to the 6 people.

But you could get customs charges on the single case which makes it ~£59 so you'll definitely pay less buying in bulk, but the saving could be upto £12.
