Voltages are nothing like anyone else's.... are they a bit high for only 2.8ghz? i havent adjusted them at all... what should they be

Temps are high tho :(

Question for everyone... which CPU cooler do u recommend? (dont want to lap it if possible for maximum results)

Looking at the Big Typhoon, Ultra 120 (heard they need lapping 60% of the time because of concave/convex bases), Tuniq

Right click the TAT icon and select Run as administrator or right click and select Properties and tick the Run as administrator box.

I just purchased a e2140 and i've been trying to get it up to a respectable speed but i'm stuck at 2.2GHz

Even with my VCore at 1.45v I can't boot anything higher than 2.2

My RAM is on a divider so it's at 400Mhz so it shouldn't be causing any problems

Any ideas what I can try next

Cheers

Detail spec please.

Thanks to all those who responded to my question on e4300 vs e2160. The links provided give an excellent comparision of the overclocked 4300 and 2140. Looks like at the higher detail levels the GPU becomes more of a decider than the CPU, making the cheaper 2140/2160 better value. So, E2160 it is then!

I'm planning to build my first custom PC next month. Kit list so far is Antec P182 case, Corsair PSU, ASUS P5K-E WiFi, overclocked E2160 and 2Gb Crucial Ballistix 6400, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, and ATI X1950 Pro or XT. CPU and GPU upgrades planned for next year once current DX10 cards come down in price a bit. Looking forward to UT3 and COD4 :D:D

Good choices!

Although if you wait for another week or so the 2900pro will be available for £150. It's basically a 2900XT but downclocked.
