People only want XB1 to fail because of the horrible anti consumer stance they have taken. If they are successful with this it gives everybody the green light to do the same. We need it to fail so these companies see that what they are doing is not acceptable.

But what if MS pulled out of the console market altogether? Would be a pretty bleak future with just Sony able to do whatever they want. I'm not sure if any other big names would be able to step in to compete. Rumours of course insist there will be an Apple console some day but I can't see that being good for gamers!
 
I had them both pre ordered the day of each launch announcement. After sitting through both E3 shows im going to cancel the XboxOne pre order I think. Shame as I've always preferred the 360 over the PS3.

I just dont want the kinect, I sold it for the 360 as it was gathering dust. All this TV stuff is great but pointless for me, I have a HTPC with XBMC thanks all the same.

If it would have wowed me at E3 and the tech specs were better then the PS4, im sure id be keeping them both. As it is, ill keep my PS4 pre order and ill sit and see how the XboxOne develops.

Thought MS did have an O.K showing but Playstation just NO DISGUISED SWEARIES all over them half way through theirs.

Never count out Nintendo.. They out sold the last gen console big time. If Xbone dies a dreamcast style death you can bet that more Wii U's are going to be sold. If Ninty deliver a good event at E3 today it could put them back in the running for the number 1 spot.

Wii U has,

No DRM.
Free Online.
No game re activation fee.
Local and online multiplayer with multiscreen.
Big 1st party exclusives.

Have a feeling Nintendo are about to re claim some lost ground...

I agree it wouldn't be great, but we would have to hope for somebody to take their place, and I bet if this did happen they wouldn't attempt the same restrictions as MS did.
 
But Nintendo lack multiplatform titles as they have for several generations. I can't believe anyone who was considering an Xbox One is going to say "No, I'll get a Wii U"

The One and PS4 are in direct competition, the Wii U is for another market altogether imo.
