I have been following this topic and it looks good. so would all you guys think that this is better than a e6300? what mobo would you suggest to get a good overclock..

I'ts definitely not the chip as it wont boot at 3.2ghz either. I'm just pretty confused. there are different straps and depending on the strap i use i get different dividers!
I can only got 1:1 on the 1033 strap but that corresponds to a 266mhz fsb?!
The strap as gotten from the cpu is 800...how do i get my ram to run 1:1?

i reckon its time for you to reset the motherboard and start again, use the new bios but stick everything to default and clear the cmos, then start from there

It's something I can't put my finger on. If i lower divider to 8 and leave fsb as 400mhz with 1.35v (which ran orhos for bout 16 mins fine) it won't boot!!
I've lowered the divider to 6 and it still won't boot with a fsb of 400!!
Dont think it's my ram cos its geil 6400. Actually, i'l try the ram on an uber low divider and see if it works at 800mhz.
I've increased the cpu volts to 1.52v at 3200 with a 400fsb and it still won't boot. It doesn't even get to the splash screen
I've increasd the mch voltage to 1.9v and nothing.
1.35v, 3.4ghz and 1.5 mch voltage works just fine though ?!
thoughts anyone?
EDIT: I guess 3.4ghz with 1.35vcore in bios and load temps of 42C on an intel stock cooler aint too bad
