Had a few nice fights against an FDL player today, the shields on those things are pretty beastly. I am running A7 shields in my clipper with x3 classA shield boosters so my shields are pretty good, but the FDL soaked up a hammering!

I'm still staying with my clipper though :)
 
Finally made it to Sagittarius A* :)

Found 6 undiscovered Earth-likes along the way, as well as a few neutron stars, a Herbig Ae/Be star and a black hole. Also visited the Great Annihilator before heading for Sag A*.

I'm liking it in the core, so I'm going to stay here and continue exploring for a while before heading back home. To infinity and beyond!

I swapped from my Viper to a Vulture yesterday. I have 2 fixed beam lasers fitted and it is a monster. So easy to track targets.

I haven't crashed once mate, looks like that was the problem.
 
Got my pedals & two joysticks arriving tomorrow.

I think with one joystick for the lateral thrust, pedals for acceleration & brake & another twist joystick for yaw & movement (two hat joysticks for POV look & menu's) I'll be well set for some A grade combat. The great thing is I've got my PC hooked up-to a 10 foot screen projector... I'm looking forward to tomorrow!.

Who said there are only five? It says the 'first' to get there, there could be quite a few out there... more likely there is an allocation of one per commander and thus a race once it becomes known, if it becomes known.

Found an undiscovered Earth-like up at the very top of the galaxy, amongst the neutron stars, carbon stars, black holes and supernova remnants; must be lonely up there, but view down over the Milky Way is breath-taking!

Good point, I assumed just 5 to be found "out there" somewhere.
Quite looking forwards to having a search for them!

I believe it is, but that's a very subjective question...
I played it for one hour at Alpha stage and felt it was so good, I immediately signed up for the Beta before dropping over £250 on Joysticks and HOTASes.

I've now got millions of credits and own about 10 different ships (excluding duplicates) which mostly have as many upgrades as I could find... and I'm still playing it, whenever I get the chance.
I haven't even tried smuggling, mining and half the other things yet, either!
