Hi
Have bought two copies of the Commisined Officer pack as was going to get myself a pair of alts to do some triple headed Hulk mining action or Orce boosted double heder with this toon.
As we no loonger have any learining skills, does anyone know of a decent skill plan to get my two, brand new toon into Hulks within the minimum possible time.
Please do not start giving me PvP is the way forward grief or Carebears suck goats (although that will probably happen). Ama very happy man when I do mining as have enough fighting of ships during my day job.

Not as many but I was just short of 4m SP to spend!
I have buyers remorse now because I'm sure I cudda/shudda used them on something else.
Reactivated the account just to use them, but still I feel that unless your in a gang its a super lonely game, 13m SP and hardly any time spent in a proper organisation.
Any clans accepting new recruits, let me know!
If you're not playing on a Mac then Evemon has now been updated to account for the removal of the learning skills. You can get the latest release candidate off of the website and that will tell you what you need to do and how to remap your skills.
Can't believe how much more polished it is than when I played last, but then again it was the initial beta test then played the game for a couple of months after so it's had a while to buff up 
Did the tutorial and now doing the military agent missions which i've almost finished.
They give you a decent amount of stuff along the way and break you in slowly.
I assume I can work my way through all the various career agent missions as they just give you an idea and the skills to start down that career and don't lock you into doing it?

As for hulk plan - well it's a lot easier now there's no complex learning skills. Cram as many short skills into evemon as possible till just before the training boost cuts out, then stick in a long skill I guess?

The learning boost for new characters was removed at the same time the learning skills were as everyones base attributes were changed. New characters now train at the same speed as older ones, the main difference being they just can't afford the fancy +5 at the start.
No they just changed it. All new accounts can use the implant that boosts learning speed for the first month. You know, the one that comes with the boxed version of the game.

Oh, my mistake then. I thought we were talkking about the double training speed boost that you got for the first 1.6m skillpoints.
Didn't realise every new account got the implant.
That's what I meant, didn't realise that was gone either. Only the boxed edition gets the cerebral accelerator dealy afaik.
Will be awhile till they do that.
However whereas before they dealt with lag when they had time and not working on expansions, they now have a dedicated team that deals with lag and they run mass tests every week on the test server. So the lag is improving ever so slightly on a monthly basis, but not enough to make 400+ fleets bearable.

Just got my CO pack and the code goes straight in and I did get the implant so that's great....
But, I don't get the option to plug it in, all I get is consume, reprocess, trash it....
I have an ocular implant it says in slot one but can't see how to display the separate slots or why I can't use the implant.
Any pointers as to why?

Have been doing some invention to get my money built up and have found a really good little production line which I can spend about 40 minutes on each day and it has been netting about 25mill per hour in the evenings (slower during the day when the server is quieter).
I've been taking my Crane in 0.0 to access some NPC stations as the lab slots are free to copy my BPO's. Tempted to look at getting some of this PI stuff set up in there now as well.
