The *Official* Eve Online Thread

It's all about wormholes for making isk :D
Kill and loot anything that isn't an ally and run all the sites you can find. Far more fun than missions/mining, huge profits to be made and doesn't require a big hauler and loads of time studying the markets like trading does!

Wormholes are high ISK but high risk to (which is one of the reasons they are more fun than empire) - if your not thining 2 steps ahead you will die a horrid death and even that doesn't guarantee your safety.

The less ethical methods are often the most profitable. Scamming, corp theft and suicide ganking are pretty profitable if you can be bothered. If you want something legit, trading is supposed to be good if you have the inclination.

Doesn't get much more profitable than this :D (unless you spend all day scanning haulers).

That said I don't really consider suicide ganking that unethical - you can take some simple precautions to minimize the chances of it happening to you (not undocking in an amplification node fit tengu with no buffer being one) - tho at the end of the day if someone wants to sit 30 gank maelstroms off the gate/station your in they are gonna get you in the end whatever your in.

How does multiple characters work? I notice we seem to have 3 slots for characters? Currently I've only ever had one which I've used mainly for missioning, but added some production researches when I got bored of that. But really it makes far more sense to make a second character for that so they can be dedicated, while my main concentrates on shooting skills.
Is this right? And how easy is it to transfer stuff between characters? I'd be running missions and salvaging with my main, then swapping characters to refine/sell the stuff and turn it into something more profitable, and also probably mine too.

You can have upto 3 chars on an account, but only ONE can train skills at one time.

With regards to sending stuff, easiest way is to create a contract to your other char and then login.

Aah, only one training at a time? That's not much use, then. Might as well train them on my main, saves having to mess around with passing all the stuff around as well. Thanks!

Double posting but this thread's a little dead.

Looking at Blueprints in the market, is there any way to filter so it only shows BPOs? Because I jhad a search just for blueprints, and obviously there's hundreds of them, but they all list 'max runs per blueprint copy' which means they are just copies? Is it just a matter of clicking through the list of blueprints for sale until I find one that's actually an original?

Yes really.
BPC are not sold on the market because they can have different ME, PE & Runs values and would be a DB nightmare for CCP catering for all the differences.

Anyone else got a rattlesnake and noticed it acting strange after the last little patch - mine seems to have lost a good 1/3 of its ability to absorb DPS and seems to run out of cap crazy quick - not that is an issue really.

Gonna have to check this :(

Its active enough to make it fun, there is generally a 20+man fleet going every night for both factions and plenty of smaller gangs and solo people roaming around. But most of the action takes place in a very small area. Pirates also know this and they come for a fight also, there is always possibilities of a 3 way going down.

Although Gallente generally wont fight though unless they have the upperhand which can be lame at times.

Amarr/Mimitar is more active than Caldari/Gallente, especially in euro.
