Good Fights ^ always nice to see barry pick up a W, ref should have stopped it sooner in my opinion doh.

Sandoval and Nurmagomedov both looked good in there 1st UFC fights ^ looking forward to seeing them again^

yup predicted barry/miller, was a close one on barry thought he was gonna get choked out again but he had no choice and his take down defence is generally good so knew he would get out of it, good he won.

hopefully barrys improvements will allow him to start winning !

So this weekends UFC main card
Phil Davis vs. Rashad Evans
Michael Bisping vs. Chael Sonnen
Demian Maia vs. Chris Weidman

who are you guys picking for the wins ?

Phil has looked lethal, I think he might have what it takes to dethrone Bones but not yet....his overall game needs to mature. Rashad being as fast as he is should connect early and put him on the ground for a TKO in the second.

Bisping could be a tougher match than people think for Sonnen. Decent defensive striker with great TDD and good defense on the ground. He should outstrike Chael on the feet but Chaels wrestling takedowns are very good and I think it'll go his way later in the fight, Bispings cardio looked suspect in the Miller fight and he's cutting more and more each fight. I don't think chael can finish Bisping so I'm going Chael by decision.
That being said I want Bisping to win, I've seen Silva vs Sonnen, I want to see Bisping Silva :)

Maia is a one of my favourite fighters and I'd have loved to seen him fight Palharres to show who's the king of the BJJ food chain. Alas it wasn't to be this time and I think Maia is going to be too much for Weidman (or I hope he is) who won't have the tools to deal with Maia on the ground. Maia by submission in the first.

Can't wait for the fights :)

I watched Primetime – Nick Diaz vs Carlos Condit yesterday and I thought it was really interesting. Definitely worth a watch!

Really looking forward to this weekends fights, hoping Bisping can pull something out of the bag although I doubt he'll be able to finish Chael, and can't see him getting a decision unless it stay standing... Which won't happen.

tbh some piracy is actually good for the UFC, i for one maybe would not watch now, if i hadn't seen some UFC events back in the day. and now its the only reason i get ESPN. so hopefully it moves to sky and i can drop ESPN :)

and although they look at this as "100,000 people watching a stream!, were losing money" but most of them wouldn't buy the PPV anyway.

There's only a few cards per year I buy and that's only if me and my mates all chip in.

The streams and what not certainly help spread the word. Nothing beats seeing it live though :) it's just too much money too often!

Never actually been to it live :<
next time they come to the UK hoping il have the cash free to go!

i believe there planning one maybe two shows over here, think it depends on what new TV deal they get ^

Bet placed for the next event.

Main Card

Guillard vs Miller
Ludwig vs Neer
Easton vs Papazian
Barry vs Morecraft

Prelims

Rivera vs Schafer
Shalorus vs Nurmagomedov
Brenneman vs Roberts
Camoes vs Hayden
Pineda vs Schilling
Sandoval vs Denis

caught me out :( Any repeats?

Since we were speaking about who gets the next shot at 155, Dana just tweeted

"danawhite Dana White
Our 3rd FOX fight May 5th at the IZOD Center in New Jersey will feature Nate Diaz vs Jim Miller!!! Nate = 3 sub and 5 FON Jim = 3 SON!!"

i guess whoever wins that will get the next shot, should be a good fight, picking Nate to take it in the standup :)

Going by there recent form my money would be on Nate as well. Better than Jim standing but I'd reckon they're pretty even on the ground and it'd be much more interesting to see the fight go there :)

Jim will be training leg kicks like there's no tomorrow ;)
