**The Official Everything MMA Related Thread**

It's been pretty awesome so far, bisping is doing himself no favours can't wait for Chael to stomp him saturday night. :D

Phil has looked lethal, I think he might have what it takes to dethrone Bones but not yet....his overall game needs to mature. Rashad being as fast as he is should connect early and put him on the ground for a TKO in the second.

Bisping could be a tougher match than people think for Sonnen. Decent defensive striker with great TDD and good defense on the ground. He should outstrike Chael on the feet but Chaels wrestling takedowns are very good and I think it'll go his way later in the fight, Bispings cardio looked suspect in the Miller fight and he's cutting more and more each fight. I don't think chael can finish Bisping so I'm going Chael by decision.
That being said I want Bisping to win, I've seen Silva vs Sonnen, I want to see Bisping Silva :)

Maia is a one of my favourite fighters and I'd have loved to seen him fight Palharres to show who's the king of the BJJ food chain. Alas it wasn't to be this time and I think Maia is going to be too much for Weidman (or I hope he is) who won't have the tools to deal with Maia on the ground. Maia by submission in the first.

Can't wait for the fights :)

No one else picking? :D

Thanks for posting the press conference link, should be a great card.

Have to laugh at Chael though, rocking up with a belt, crazy guy.

Some great fights coming up too, really looking forward to Diaz vs condit!

Rashad Evans vs Phil Davis - Tough one for me, as other people have said Rashad doesnt really have much of a chin, and has been known to fade late on in fights. He does however have the striking advantage in this one... If it was a 3 round fight I think I'd go with Rashad, with it being a 5 rounder... Davis via 5 round LnP UD. Its not going to be easy, and its not going to be pretty, I see Evans starting the stronger and fading late in the second, allowing Davis to use his superior wrestling and just grind out the win.

Bisping vs Sonnen - Bisping has better striking, has generally pretty good takedown defense, has absolutely awesome hip escapes and will be able to get up when Chael puts him on his back... however Chael has the stamina to keep putting him on his back time and time again, while also having absolutely nothing to fear from Bispings stand up, as he isnt going to land a single killer shot to change the whole dimension of the fight. I see Chael grinding out a clear UD after battering Bisping for 3 solid rounds, Mike will be game, he'll keep getting up, he'll keep trying to do what he does best but hes going to be on the bottom and eating shots for a large portion of this fight.

Maia vs Wiedman - I think a lot of the mystic surrounding Maia's BJJ has gone, it used to be known that if Maia got to the ground then it was all over... now if you're a high level BJJ player yourself then you can survive... You probably wont be able to mount your own offense, but at least you'll survive. Wiedman is on a tear, he has experience at ADCC, he has the wrestling to keep this standing if he wants to... again I'm seeing a pretty ugly split decision on this one, Wiedman to win simply because he has the wrestling to control where he wants the fight to go.

i think maia will win a decision, short notice for wiedman and i dont see him subbing maia, and maia has shown some greatly improved striking compared to a few years ago.

the other 2 main card fights, my head says to go with sonnen and evans,

bisping i think is going to be held down for the best part of 3 rounds. dont see him knocking out or subbing sonnen.

as for Mr davis, hes been out for nearly a year, so its hard to say how much he may have improved, but i think evans has the better stand up, as for the wrestling i think they will cancel each other out.

soo
maia
sonnen
evans.

Anybody been watching the Diaz vs Condit Primetime shows? Both absolutely awesome, there is just something about Diaz that draws me to watch this sort of stuff about him.
