**The Official Everything MMA Related Thread**

I thought Okami deserved the win, he was the aggressor the entire fight and caused more damage and took very little. The times nate got him down he didnt do anything at all until okami found his way back upto his feet.

UFC 122 didn't get it's own thread cause it really didn't deserve one, and the fights proved it.

Pretty boring night of fights to be honest, you could tell Siver vs Winner was going to end quick from the opening bell.

Thinking with a clearer mind, yea I can see where you're coming from. But one judge had it 30-27 for okami, that's BS

Which round would you have given to Nate?

Id of given the first round to Nate too just for the takedown, his submission attempts where nothing though. But he failed to capitalise on any takedown situations. Poor fight but Okami won clearly IMO. Love how Dana has slagged Nates camp though for his performance, glad the prelims were decent though that Vemola looked very dangerous, just pure brute strength nice to watch.

Was an ok ufc event, obviously we like a few higher calibar fighters.

Okami deserved it, sometimes I feel if you really want to win or if its the challenger you really gotta work that extra bit. Close fight still but Nate didnt do much he had 100 chances to throw some leg kicks but that wasnt the game plan ? ... cant belive the 3rd round was opened up with belive in your punches and strikes... against someone whos been jabbing and outstriking him the 1st 2 rounds ? Bad camp advise indeed Dana was right lol

Anyhow next weekend should be amazing, so amazing Im gonna get some betting money ready !

Grats to Okami, but what a bore of a grappling based event though (bar the Siver choke). Tired of the UFC taking the P out of the european fans with sub par events.

Sooooo...

Penn vs Fitch, what do ya think about this match up then? I dont like it, love both guys, Fitch loses, he loses any hope of a title shot in the near future, which he should have already got after Alves. And if BJ loses, hes just back in the loss column :P

Fitch will just do his usual lay and pray. I had to check as I couldnt remember last time the guy finished a fight, and astonishingly he has got his last 7 wins by decision, and lost a decision against GSP. I just hope BJ can keep it on his feet as per vintage Penn, and knock a hole in that bore's face.

Chaels suspension has been changed, from 1 Year and 2500 Dollar fine, to 6 Month Suspension 2500 dollar fine, so he should be back in action by March 2nd.

...and Josh Barnett forgot to bring a lawyer with him, so his license renew failed and he is going again at their next meeting, whenever that is

Just finished watching this also, cheers for the link :)

What's Barnett's current status in other states ?

Or are they still following the CSAC ruling and not allowing him to compete ?

I read that Josh Barnett was only re-apyling and as such didn't need a lawer, however CASC changed their minds on what they were seeing him for. Think this was on Fighters Only or sherdog.

Some awesome knockouts in Strikeforce last night.

I recommend watching Fredson Paixao vs. Pablo Garza from TUF12 last night if no-one saw it.

edit: oh didn't realise there was a TUF thread. my bad.
