Gotta go team Brock on that one off the bat; If he can curb his "attitude" I think he could be a great coach. Lord knows hes experienced how to train and succeed (barring NFL..) at the elite level in many many different sports and environments.

And the amount of coaches that he has had, both via a team and privately, should stand him in good stead.
As always though, it will come down to the people they choose!

Wait... I thought JDS got an immediate title shot?

When the news came through that Cain had an RC tear JDS said he wasn't going to wait around like Rashad waiting for Shogun, he wanted to stay active (He hasn't fought for 6/7 months as it is).

So talk was of an interim HW belt fight yet again, but then the TUF announcement came !

Which now I think leaves two UFC HW's without matches in the upcoming months: Carwin and Big Nog, this have anything to do with UFC going back to Brazil ?....

Wait... I thought JDS got an immediate title shot?

JDS has said openly hes not gonna wait around to fight and make money, hes not rich enough to sit back and do a rashad....

hes literally used those words I belive, good on him if he wants to be a champ thats the way hes gotta be.

Apparantly the june fights not for an interim title... more for a fight for the No1 contender spot, so this is proberly the main reason why Brocks in, not only does ufc make perhaps the best season of tuf ever, the Brock vs JDS fight will be the biggest fight ever.... and the winner gets Cain :)

Agreed. My favorite TUF seasons have been the ones with Jacksons camp (Rashad and GSP as coaches).

I'd love to be coached by that camp, specifically Trevor Wittman - I think he is superb.

UFC: Fight For The Troops 2 is this weekend on ESPN from 2am. No big name fights as such but looks to be a pretty solid card. I have really enjoyed watching Matt Mitrione's first few fights and he also gave a great recent interview on the MMA Hour. Also looking forward to seeing Pat Barry in action after his somewhat dubious performance in UFC 115 against Mirko Cro Cop - I want to see the Pat Barry from the highlight reels!

Main card

Heavyweight bout: Matt Mitrione vs. Tim Hague
Featherweight bout: Mark Hominick vs. George Roop
Heavyweight bout: Pat Barry vs. Joey Beltran

Welterweight bout: DaMarques Johnson vs. Mike Guymon

Really looking forward to team Meat Berry's fights (Barry and meathead), and I'll also cry from laughter if cody McKenzie gets another guillotine win !

Looking like this will be the first event I miss live since 119 though :(
