Think we definitely saw the eventual winner last night. I think as good as Josh looks at the moment he has avoided anyone who throws a punch so far. I wouldn't be shocked to see him get sparked in the semi although he's still the favourite by quite a way in his fight. Can't see past Hall in the other one.

Bubba hahaha, deserved everything he got. Mouthy idiot with a massively self inflated opinion of himself. The way he was bitching before the Hall fight was just embarrassing.

Bubba's coach sure did have some inspiring words for him before his fight with Uriah, I can't remember it verbatim but it went something along the lines of:

"He's supposed to win! He's supposed to knock you out! You're not even supposed to be here, you're just the wild card! You're supposed to lose! Now get out there Champ!"

I thought this was hilarious too. I thought he was going somewhere with this (like Chael does) but it just stopped at "you're not good enough to beat him" basically.

Dont be daft.

This is as daft as the GSP vs Anderson fight. Gsp's good, but he's nowhere near as skilled, elusive or as technical as AS.

GSP takes this fight. His stand up is VERY under rated (and it's not even that under rated) but there is just no way Silva could stop his takedowns or do anything off his back against GSP.

Either of them could win on any given night but It's a bad matchup for Silva (in my opinion).

As far as Uriah vs Silva goes; I'm not saying he couldn't be a contender in the future but right now he just doesn't have the experience for someone like Silva (or anyone in the top 5-10) just yet. We also haven't seen his ground game. If I was Dana I'd give him 2-3 fights with top 10-20 fighters then move him into the top 10.

Yeah it sounded like he was building up to something inspirational, but instead he might as well have just stood there with a bodybag and said "try this on will ya, we're gonna need one in your size for after the fight".

Reza Madadi is a "character" anyway, that's for sure; respect to him for the way he came back and won after that head kick nearly KO'd him though, exciting fight.

Fantastic performance from McGregor!

What the hell was up with that judge in the Pickett/Easton fight? Was he watching a different match?

Check out the post fight press conference, McGregor is hilarious!

Some news on the UK tv deal. Gary Cook said this at the press conference:

When asked if he could confirm the growing rumours regarding a possible deal with BT, Cook replied, "I can't confirm it, because it's not confirmed. But we're very close, I don't think it's any secret. The challenge for us is there's not an official statement on it.

"The good news is that we've found a strategic partner in TV and broadcast for the UK, and it will include more than just airing the live content. So we're very close to that, and as soon as we have that information we'll let you know."

While Sky Sports has long been the only serious option for the UFC to grow in the UK market in the past, the arrival of BT Sport looks set to offer a viable alternative, and Cook hasn't been shy to talk up the new channel.

BT Sport has already secured a large portfolio of live broadcast rights, including Premier League Football as well as a host of other major football leagues, plus exclusive rights to Premiership Rugby.

I wonder why the UFC has never been able to agree to terms with Sky?

They're shown on FOX in the US who are owned by the same group who also have a controlling interest in BSkyB, so it would seem to be a natural fit but for some reason it's never happened.

Could it be that the boxing commission are leveraging their influence to keep it off Sky because they don't want the competition the same way that their German equivalent did in Germany?

Tuf semi's tonight 3am ESPN :0
Semifinal bouts include Josh Samman vs. Kelvin Gastelum and Uriah Hall vs. Dylan Andrews. Winners advance to the April 13 finale. Also: a visit to the Harley Davidson showroom to look at one of the prizes for being named The Ultimate Fighter.

I think both Josh and Uriah will walk through their opponents tonight, I hope not though.

EDIT: Results below..
josh lost, choked and tapped out in the first :D and Uriah won from the bottom in round 2

I see Mitrione has been suspended for his outburst over Fallon Fox.

Have to say, although it was crazy for him to go off on one in that manner, I agree with what he's basically saying.
