The ultimate fighter has been rubbish for ages, they really need to drop it.

How many decent fighters have come out of the house recently?

I've never liked it unfortunately.

I have no interest in petty 'conflicts' inside the house or who's fallen out with who. I find the whole format tedious, forced and fake. All I'm interested in is the fights tbh.

If they want to do an Ultimate Fighter it should be a tournament format event akin to a PRIDE or K1 Grand Prix, that'd be awesome! :D

Sorry to be offtopic... But I've tried contacting you various times by email to make sure your CPU arrived ok. Please could you let me know. :)

Cheers

Done did. Sorry, BT had reset my password and I hasn't bothered my backside to fix it till this morning. Still got 300 emails to look through

This has been the best series of TUF for a while, no ridiculous over the top house drama and they seem to be concentrating on the training much more.

Bubba = dead man walking :p

I don't think much of that Bubba at all. He's all talk. The only reason he won the last fight was because he ran out of steam and was concerned about his kidney, hardly broke his will.

No I don't rate him either, he's shown zero to me in two fights now. Jon Jones talks about him as a great training partner, maybe that's what he is, because as a fighter he apears to be terribly limited. God knows how he's got so much experience, must have been fighting bums the whole time because he looks barely a level above.

He's also guilty of what is becoming my number one pet hate in MMA and TUF in particular - fighters talking about will, determination (I'm gonna win cos it's for my kids and I have to etc), it's really starting to annoy me now when they talk like this as if it's the only factor. No you mugs, as with anything that involves skill, ability will always play the bigger role, and if you don't have the ability then you don't have it and no amount of heart can make up the difference. Maybe I'm being slightly unfair with this, I mean if anyone should believe in themselves it's a fighter, it's just that I've seen the same story over and over again (fighter talks about how he will win cos he wants it more, fighter then gets beaten easily and shown to be technically nowhere near good enough), it's getting very tiresome.

you pretty much described every reality show on tv. the thing is most people don't seem to realise and continue to watch, which just makes them churn more out. they ain't going to do something new if you continue to watch the old thing.

Tuf in 41 minutes.. best get myself round the 24hr garage for some stella's :D

spoiler alert..
good episode tonight, fighting instead of reality tv! glad the young stocky dude took the first fight.. it was obvious within seconds that one of them would get KO'd the way they went at it, and im kinda glad the lanky brit lost the second fight.. being picked first went to his head a bit too much imo, but the best part of it was at the end with next weeks spoilers and Bubba facing meltdown with the thought of fighting Uriah Hall :D

He's a magician that Bubba, somehow managed to make me have less than the zero respect I already had for him. Doesn't even deserve to be on the show. I wouldn't say I'm overly impressed with Josh's blatant fight dodging either, the difference is that Josh does seem to have some actual talent, he's just a bit more 'tactical' with his match ups than I tend to like fighters to be.

He's obviously not UFC material; his skillset hasn't looked UFC calibre in any of his fights, and he has repeatedly shown a desire to "pick and choose" his opponents rather than fighting the opponent given to him.

Plus he's a massive douche.

He's had his fifteen minutes, give him a commemorative t-shirt and send him packing.

I think Bubba is going to pull out of next weeks fight. As far as I could tell they did not show Bubba walking to the cage or any fight highlights with him in (like they normally show). They only showed Uriah running towards the cage.

Someone else will take his place I reckon.

I really don't like Bubba; he basically gave up his kids to become a fighter (or so he makes out). You need to want it bad but that's too much.

I thought that as well, but apparently Bubba has been on Twitter angrily denying that he pulls out so I guess it's just "creative editing" on the part of the show's producers.

Even if he does fight, he's going to get knocked out, he's so scared of Uriah that he's already lost the fight.

In my opinion Dana White kind of ruined the run-in to the finale by saying that one fighter was a knockout machine who sent four (I think) people to the hospital. There's only one fighter who's sent someone to the hospital so far (other than Casey collapsing, which doesn't really count) and so far Uriah only has 2 KOs, so we know that he must beat whoever he faces this week and presumably the one after that too. This is all assuming that Dana was telling the truth of course.

Honestly, Dillon mentioning his family for the first 100 times was a case of, you know, fair dos.

But every single time he's saying something he's talking about them, it's starting to get on my ****, change the channel ffs.

Would love it if Bubba didn't take the fight, how hilarious would that be!

I agree with that, most of the suspense of this season has been destroyed by a steady stream of spoilers (much of them coming from the UFC itself).

The UFC have always been good at that.

I followed their facebook page a while back (I forget why initially) but soon stopped when everytime I woke up on a Sunday and would intend to watch an event at some point, first thing on facebook was 'LESNAR LOSES TITLE' or similar.

Yeah, and they still do that! I found out the result of the GSP vs Diaz site because I've liked the UFC on FB, very annoying!
