That looked like a bar brawl on a Saturday night. Wouldn't go as far as saying it was the best heavyweight fight ever but it sure was entertaining.

dec 28 can't come soon enough. Silva better be focused.

For me it was a 25 minute display of heart, courage and violence.

I cant think of a heavyweight fight in the UFC that comes close.

It was a great fight... and tbh anyone would gas by r2/3 more so if both have been almost finished. It was just true grit and heart being displayed and it was not just a one side beating.

Best hw fight of 2013 for sure, not seen a case where either guy almost finished...

Btw they confirmed I think it was 48 to 52 ufc events in 2014, so that is 1 ufc event every week more or less !

It was amazing to watch. When ever one guy was close to finishing the fight a single punch or elbow changed the momentum.

This year ended pretty well with regards to some of the fights we have seen :)

Next year one ufc event more or less every week ;)

I feel mark hunt should be ranked in top 10 if not 5-6 at this point. Bigfoot deserves spot 4 but as we know all it takes is one werdum or josh to get into top 5 with ease.

hw rankings change quicker then lesnar here.

i hope its not to much, to be honest i would prefer it once month.. just makes it abit more special

There are too many fighters on the roster for that to be honest - plus with the amount of training injuries that occur, having different fighters tee'd up only a week apart, you've got more of a chance of a replacement being found!

Apparently Werdum is happy to "wait" for Cain instead of fighting someone else in the meantime - can't say I'm surprised - I've really disliked the guy since his atrocious showing against Overeem in the Strikeforce GP tourney - it was downright embarrassing seeing him pretty much lie down on the floor and invite Overeem into his guard!!

GSP :(

Makes sense to me though, you could see in his eyes he wasn't into this as much as he has been in the past.

A focussed GSP runs through Hendricks, simple as that.

For me, out of all the champions, he's fought the toughest guys. Not too many men could have gone on the run GSP did, if any at all. Continuously wiping out worthy top contenders is a mean feat.

He hasn't officially retired though, he did say he may return. I'm certainly a nobody, but to retire off the end of a 6 year unbeaten would be awesome. Too many MMA fighters retire too late.

I wasn't no. Twitter was flooded by the news, but for sure I'll listen later!

crazy.. but was kind expecting it after his fight with hendricks, dana seemed pretty sure he wasnt going to retire at press conference after the fight.
