Imo I thought Conor was out boxing Nate up to that point and 170 is Nate's natural weight rather than Conor's right?

And yes I appreciate it was a desperate lunge to the poster above lol.
It must be really late. Sorry you lost me?
HOWEVER, I think the UFC is becoming a bit too much like WWE for its own good. Its getting to the stage where the hype, build up and 'mike skills' are more entertaining than the fight itself. I think they are making a huge mistake by hyping up fighters like McGregor and Rossey only to see those fighters fall short when they are 'tested.'
To me it looked like Connor got rocked and never recovered.
He didn't respect Diaz's hands and he paid for it.
What is Conor's natural weight?
I was surprised by how gassed McGregor was by the 2nd round. Why was that? A function of the strikes by Diaz? In the post-fight interview he mentioned a few times that he felt he was inefficient and I don't understand that. He missed a few kicks, but most of his punches seemed to connect.
Forgot to post my verdict here. Diaz brothers have been in the game trash talking and giving there all for a number of years before Conor. Conor surprisingly underestimated Nate and paid the price. The first round was all Conor Nate backed up drastically but as he's only been stopped twice in his career, the dude can take serious punishment especially from a fighter who fights below his normal weight. Shame he got caught in the second and never recovered but think he will focus on his divison now for a while and build his reputation back. I'm still on the fence with regard to who will win a Aldo rematch, had the precious lasted longer than 13 seconds it could have been interesting..
Further that everyone runs from Edgar, nobody will give him a shot using the Benson excuse, the guy is a beast who rarely takes damage.
And that card was a classic example of why submissions will continue to dominate this sport.
