Lots of people on the underground saying that the Daley stoppage was premature, seemed perfectly timed to me.
The ref doesn't care if there is only 5 seconds left in the round, he is there to protect the fighter and Daley got dropped then had a few more solid shots on the ground. He was done.

it was a good stoppage for me. daley was out of it infact i dont know how anyone could say it was premature. its not as if daley was straight up on his feet
I think it was just a delayed reaction from all the pitter-patter shots Diaz always lands on people. Diaz has some of the best boxing in MMA in my opinion.
I did shout out when Diaz got dropped though. Semtex just through a hook out there and Diaz just ended up belly down, flat on the ground, horrible moment. But he ended up pulling back the victory
This gif isn't great due to the low framrate, but it shows the combo that dropped him.
On the 15 second mark there is an overhand right after 2 uppercuts, it's a blur in the gif but watching it on video you see this land right on Daley's chin. This is what results in the stanky leg dance.

Fair stoppage indeed he got punched clean 2-3x and daley didnt know where he was....
Something tells me jake shields is gonna find it a lot more tougher though lol
Strikeforce put on a good show and no doubt more to come, one thing with the merger its almost to the point were the fans want to see strikeforce vs ufc fighters... shame they cant just merge it under ufc already and we get the fights we want today
Hopefully they can start putting together more fights and across SF and ufc sooner rather then later.

Hate Diaz with a passion, hes a massive **** along with the rest of Ceaser bitch squad. Will be hilarious watching Shield's get destroyed by GSP.
They all seem to have a massive chip on their shoulders, they think they are gods gift to mma, but any time Nick faces top competition he gets handled, Nate is just.. well, nate and imo Melenendez hasn't faced anybody of real note apart from Thompson who he lost to.
Will be great when this "business as usual" stuff ends and we can see them try to keep their belts.

As a person I think Diaz is a complete idiot, but as a fighter he is definitely one of the most exciting in the world at WW. He will continue to do well until they merge and then he has to face all the UFC wrestlers who will lay on him for the win.
He really needs to work on his wrestling.
Shields is an idiot, Nate is the biggest idiot. I do like Melendez though, want to see what he can do against higher tier opposition. The UFC 155 pool is deeeeeeeep.
he has been competing and training in MMA for 10 years and he still hasn't got the most basic of striking skill. Also he wins by being a blanket for the most part. OK saying he is an idiot is a bit biased, I don't like him.

I was screaming for Daley to push when he hurt Diaz but he just backed off.
Maybe the stoppage was premature. I'm in two minds about it. Daley was clearly rocked hence face-planting the cage, but only two of the five strikes hit;
With 3 seconds to go? Could have easily gone to the second round, even with Daley hurt.
