Don't get me wrong I like Guida, but that fight was so exciting because Sanchez was smashing him the **** up!

Loved it when he got dropped from a head kick, hit the mat and bounced back up. Was crazy.

On a related note seems Sanchez vs Hughes might be on for UFC 135.

Dana White has announced all main events in the future will be 5 rounders, this doesn't include ones that are already signed such as Carwin vs JDS and Evans vs Davis.

Also they are adding a 125lbs division, no date for that but it's in the works.

UFC president Dana White said that the promotion has decided that all main-event non-title bouts – whether on pay-per-view, Spike TV or Versus – will now be scheduled as five-rounders.

However, the adjustment will not apply to any currently scheduled bouts, such as UFC 133's Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis tilt, or UFC on Versus 5's Dan Hardy vs. Chris Lytle contest.

"From this day forward, as we speak right here, right now today, every fight that is a main event that is not a title fight will be a five-round fight," White said. "So all the fights that will be made from this day forward will be five rounds."

I think this is bad news.

Fighters are already scared to fight incase they lose (the 2 strike rule dana seems to have imposed is not good for the sport). So instead of watching 3 rounds of wrestlers holding other fighters up against the cage/ laying and praying, we'll see 5 rounds of it.

3 rounds or 5 rounds, fighters contracts should be based on how well they fight/the show they put on rather than if they win or lose. There are a few fighters who seem to be immune to this, bonner/griffin but that was based on one fight pretty much.

WEC was full of amazing fights, every event was 5 times more exciting than any UFC event. I fear that even these fighters will start fighting a lot more carefully in fear of getting cut.

I still love UFC but it seems to be going downhill.

Or if forces the main events to end a lot more early, think about if how many fighters are now thinking 5 rounds.... 25 minutes to get a decision or win ?

Forces fighters to think differently... forces them to win earlier either by knock out or submission, it pushes them to fight what is what there in the cage to do.

I think its a good move, but yeah it can also be a bad thing hopefully it goes the other way.

Perhaps we will see a lot more fighters fight rather then take the safety route 1st....ie GSP

JDS has pumped up for sure ! If anything Carwins slimmed down looks like he can go more rounds for sure, Id like Carwin to win but JDS is looking quite powerful also....

Too hard to say for sure whos gonna win but we know its gonna be over as jds says...dont blink ;)

err gsp has been fighting 5 rounds for ages, he's been champion since 2008 so no changes for him

cant predict the main event. too many unknowns. probably i TKO but for some reason i see it going to a decision (i must be sniffing glue)

saving my bets for 132

Yea, it's starting to get picked up a little but it's still under used.

Quick leg kicks as well...they're sort of hit or miss really. Some guys use them like crazy whilst most don't bother.
