Wonder who will step up....

Put Shogun in and apologise to Forrest ? Seems fitting :)

Yeah just read the news on mma weekly... its not 100% confirmed but it doesnt look like anyones ready to take the fight on 3 weeks notice, one would have thought another chance to take out the real no1 contender and get a chance for possible contendership, if won well tito or the dragon would not have declined it.

wow Tito vs Evans

Bet Dana had to phone call him and say I didnt give ya 500k for knocking out bader a few weeks ago for nothing ;)

Tito was saying earlier he just wants to enjoy rest of 2011 with family and not get over his head, but its only July lol half way thru 2011....

After what happen last time with tito, its gonna be very hard to say but I feel Evans more evolved and is just got a lot more cadio and is about 3x faster then tito, but which one to bet on id say the bookies are just fearfull of the Huntington Beach Bad Boy ;)

Tito gets 500k because he brings in huge PPV numnbers, I bet he is getting even more for this fight.

Tito actually would have won the last fight if he hadn't got a point deducted for the one time he grabbed the fence, it was a harsh call by the ref.

So I think it's a close fight but another decision win for whoever gets it, I can't decide who takes it though. Rashad has had a long lay off so i'm sure ring rust will come into play even if just a little.

I think part of the wage packet that Tito recieved is he is a very stiff negotiator. He doesn't like Dana White, at all, and has said in the past that Dana gets rich off of fighters that he pays very poorly, to get Tito to fight I think Dana really has to stump up the cash. I'm not a big fan of Tito, but his win against Bader was impressive, and it will be interesting to see how he handles Rashad.

To be fair, I can't imagine training for Rashad would be any different to training for Bader, both are incredibly strong wrestlers, with next to no BJJ and decent power in their hands.

Tito gets that money because between him and Chuck, they were bringing in huge PPV's during their reigns, before and during when the UFC exploded due to TUF. They were the 2 stars bringing in all the money.

Tito has a love hate thing with fans, you either love him or hate him either way you want to watch him fight.

I really hope he can beat Shad (Again ;)

Thats some crazy news, so machidas camp called dana back after accepting the fight and demanded Anderson silva money and dana just told them to f off yet tito gets 500k?

I know Titos part of the ufc and the reason why its the UFC today but the guy took home 500k ! way above anyone elses salary, think bader made like 20k even... Faber made 32k and Cruz 60k in comparision ?

Surely after titos string of losses he would be on a lot less money ?

Perhaps he is still pulling in some serious viewing figures lol

I would have half expected titos salary was just a retirement pot ever growing.

I would have still prefered the Machida vs Evans fight purely cos the 1st one was so entertaining either way looking forward to the new improved hungry tito, and the super quick Evans:)

Is it only me who can't stand watching Rashad? Almost totally negative fighter. Pity really because he has all the skills to be really exciting. I was really looking forward to Bones Jones kicking 7 shades out of him a la Shogun.

Can't see Tito getting a win honestly. No doubt Rashad will run away for half a round then take down and leg hump till the bell x3. I just think Tito is too slow these days. If Tito does manage to land on him though it could be interesting. He doesn't have the best chin in the world iirc.

He drew with Rashad in their last fight.... and only drew due to a single cage grab. This when he was fighting with a pretty knackered back, which he has since had surgery to fix.

Rashad has had a year lay off, this is the perfect time to fight him. Tito has just got a big win and momentum on his side, he hasn't taken any damage and will be in great shape.

How you can say he stands no chance i don't quite understand :/

Also Dana has said even if he loses he won't get cut, he is basically doing the UFC a huge favour taking this fight.

why is tito on such big money? well first off he was champion so he gets a big contract. he was and is a big draw for ppv figures. and he helped build up the ufc from the small time to what it is today. he deserves the big money

i cant stand rashad so i hope tito wins but dont think it'll happen. is it a 3 or 5 rounder?

3 rounds. 5 round fights are on every main event after this one. Starting with Hardy v Lytle.

imagine if Hardy v Lytle went more then one round anyhow ;)

I bet Dana must have said your doing a big favour so if tito looses he wont be cut, but I would have half imagined if tito does loose Dana should really chuck talk him into it....
Dana does seem to have godly powers with ufc fighters careers though....

Its like one or 2 poor fights and there cut, 3 losses in a row and your looking out so it was close for machida... and now ryan bader next, but guess tito and wandy are acceptions considering what they did for the sport :)
