Yeah I don't think anyone is beating him. Whittaker maybe but he completely outclassed him last time.Costa isn't beating Izzy any time soon, could say the same for other MWs not sure where the competition is coming from at 185. He's too big for middleweight anyway, I think Dana said he's going to be at 205 from now on so it's not like he has a choice![]()
Izzy is awesome, but I think that 'all' that is really needed (and I use the term loosely) to beat Izzy is someone big and strong enough with the skills to get up close and past his takedown defences to get some ground control time for a couple of minutes in at least 3 of 5 rounds. Someone like Jan Blachowicz; he won't be the first or the last to beat Izzy.Yeah I don't think anyone is beating him. Whittaker maybe but he completely outclassed him last time.
The problem is that everyone knows Izzy can snipe them with pinpoint accurate punches, kicks and knees, so they are very reluctant to charge in even if they have the physical advantage. Costas ground game sucks (by the standards of the UFC) which is why he couldn't do that, in addition to him being very hesitant during that match.Yeah maybe but Jan is so much bigger and heavier than him though. Costa is so big for that division and he couldn't do it. Thought Whitaker could have, nope. Gastlum is a bigger guy than him, so is Romero. Vetorri is bigger too and scored 4 takedowns according to the UFC stats site and couldn't do much with him!
Great card this weekend. Fights are hard to pick.
I'm going for:
Jan
Yan
And the 4 dudes whose name ends in a V![]()
UFC 267 will get underway at 10:30 a.m. ET with eight fights on the preliminary card, which will air on ESPN+. The main card is currently scheduled to get started at 2:00 p.m. ET, and will take place live on ESPN+. Even if it is delayed, that's close enough to plan your day accordingly.
LOL Khamzat just rekt him, took him over to Dana White, had a chat while he did it. As you do. Choo choo.
He’s taken more damage from Covid than anyone he’s fought.
