Yeah great main event. Surprised how well Costa did as he looked absolutely gassed after the first round. Too very tough men. Shows how good Izzey is that neither of these two gave him anything to worry about and he dispatched both with ease. Maybe Costa will do ok in LHW. I think if he ever wants to wear a belt it's an easier road than MW currently imo.

Costa isn't beating Izzy any time soon, could say the same for other MWs not sure where the competition is coming from at 185. He's too big for middleweight anyway, I think Dana said he's going to be at 205 from now on so it's not like he has a choice :p

Yeah I don't think anyone is beating him. Whittaker maybe but he completely outclassed him last time.

Izzy is awesome, but I think that 'all' that is really needed (and I use the term loosely) to beat Izzy is someone big and strong enough with the skills to get up close and past his takedown defences to get some ground control time for a couple of minutes in at least 3 of 5 rounds. Someone like Jan Blachowicz; he won't be the first or the last to beat Izzy.

I think if Costa had a good ground game and wasn't so timid (or hungover, the daft twonk) he could have bullied Izzy to the ground through sheet muscle alone.

Yeah maybe but Jan is so much bigger and heavier than him though. Costa is so big for that division and he couldn't do it. Thought Whitaker could have, nope. Gastlum is a bigger guy than him, so is Romero. Vetorri is bigger too and scored 4 takedowns according to the UFC stats site and couldn't do much with him!

The problem is that everyone knows Izzy can snipe them with pinpoint accurate punches, kicks and knees, so they are very reluctant to charge in even if they have the physical advantage. Costas ground game sucks (by the standards of the UFC) which is why he couldn't do that, in addition to him being very hesitant during that match.

Izzy is the Silva of his generation.

Can't see Yan getting beaten personally, Glover has a better chance against Jan imo, that could be a close fight.

Great card though and 6 fights on the main event with no WMMA fights which is perfect. I don't have a problem with WMMA per se but only the top end fighters like Nunes, Shevchenko etc are worth a watch imo.

Light Heavyweight Jan Błachowicz (c) vs. Glover Teixeira [a]
Bantamweight Petr Yan vs. Cory Sandhagen
Lightweight Islam Makhachev vs. Dan Hooker
Heavyweight Alexander Volkov vs. Marcin Tybura
Welterweight Li Jingliang vs. Khamzat Chimaev
Light Heavyweight Magomed Ankalaev vs. Volkan Oezdemir

Im going Glover, Yan, Makhachev, Tybura, Khamzat, Ankalev although as others have said some of those are a tough pick.

Can't see Glover beating Jan, he fights far too smart to get lured into a Glover mauling.
Sandhagen could have a good night if he uses his range and movement to full effect.
We'll see what Makhachev is really made of vs Hooker.

Great card top to bottom, can't wait :D

Should be a great night of fights.

Glover might be getting on a bit, but he's tough as old boots. I think he might get a decision win.

Will be interesting to see how Khamzat does with the step up in competition and how much COVID has affected his conditioning.

What time does UFC 267 start? I read 1030ET but the stream hasn't started yet on Kijk.nl.

Ahh main card at 2pm ET:

UFC 267 will get underway at 10:30 a.m. ET with eight fights on the preliminary card, which will air on ESPN+. The main card is currently scheduled to get started at 2:00 p.m. ET, and will take place live on ESPN+. Even if it is delayed, that's close enough to plan your day accordingly.

So 7PM UK time.
