But to be fair I ask by far more than anyone, "let me know if you want ST (or any position I am in) when I am occupying it. Few people I know or knew never ask... lol
I even recall saying I will swap with you for lwb next game doomer, but then you left after that game anyway I think.
I just never thought about it really, probably subconsciously I thought I was away for a few games, so others got a turn at ST. I don't know...
When that happens, people need to speak. If no response from chat box, just use origin, because at times i miss some lines due to the box being so small and many people talking. Never assume, or think, oh the guy is being a ****. Even if you might think, that's common sense
I have never said no when someone said can I have that position please. I am very flexible.
To avoid this we need to work out how we gonna play positions. i.e when people are on, what their default position is. Then if someone wants that position they either ask that person, or take it when they leave.
Maybe this is a good time to make a list of everyone's positions. Their favorite, 2nd and 3rd etc..
Like me, my favorite position is CAM, but I know there are at least 3-4 people in the team better than me at that position and as there is only 1 spot for that I leave it alone unless no one wants it or I really fancy playing there I ask. My second favorite is ST, again at least 3 people are better than me at that position, when I am not on form a lot more than that... But there are 2 slots for that so I go there more often. My next one is CM. I have been playing that as a playmaker cdm that is 6 foot. I try to defend and try and get the ball up front as creatively as possible. I am at ok doing it, but my defending is not as good as say picklesnipe. Picklesnipe wins the ball a lot, as pointed out, he just needs to work on his passing and he will be a a good cm/cdm. If those positions not available I go lwb/rwb. If those are not available I go CB. Never needed to go as far as GK. lol.
To start it off, here is how I would put my preference down. Not quite the same order, but similar:
TNA/TranceNova - ST, CAM, CM, CDM, L/RWB, CB
I am happy in any of the above roles, as long as I am not stuck in the last two roles for extended periods of time. lol.
Use what I started, forum name / origin name - favored positions.
Naturally we will put people in best positions most often. So say Phil is one of the best ST and that is his favorite role, he will get priority so we maximise our chances of winning. This model does favor the better player, and a bit harsh on ones less skilled, but it will mean more wins, and who does not enjoy winning?
Sure it's meant to be about fun too most will say. Very true. That is why people who are the best players will need to be nice and offer their positions whenever possible and play in their secondary or tertiary positions so others that are not fortunate to be so skilled get a go at what position they like.
Also let us not forget that not everyone is online at all times, so positions will be available more than one may think.
This also brings me to another issue. We have 15 people now. Though at least 5-6 are not very active, we need people who are active that have their primary position at GK/CB/LWB/RWB. So if anyone knows anyone who plays these roles and are good at them, maybe we can look to give them a trail. But as it is, we have plenty people in the ST/CAM/CM positions.
