If you have out your name down and its on the first page but have not been invited to the steam group, that is because i could not locate your steam ID so please send me your steam url.

Side not: I am doing my best to get my internet sorted and may even have to pre download fifa 12 at work! This is because BT messed up and changed my number! found out the hard way when my wife called me during the day saying internet dont work. went hoem tried to fix it and called my ISP and they said to do the usual reset roouter, inut these settings etc etc. last thing they told me was to completely disconnect my router from the pone line and when they told me have i dont it yet and i kept insisting i have, they said i have not as according to their system a router is still connected to my number?

i then checked my pone line and dialed from my landline to my mobile and to my amazement some random arse number appeared! i was like WTF man? whats this crap? This aint my number! i then called my real number and some random old lady picked up!

Anyways i managed to call BT and they said they must have switched my connection by accident in one of teh exchange and that they will hopefully try to fix it within the next 3 days. man i was fuming on the phone and so was my missus.

Blooming unacceptable this is. Guy i spoke to on BT said that had i not told them the fault, they would no have known :( is it worth calling my ISP and telling them this new update?

Just read your post about the phone issue. Sorry to her about that. I recently moved properties and had some hassle getting it all working too. You probably do not need to call your ISP, but worth doing so to be on the safe side. If your phone company would not have known, then chances are they do not have a clue either. Last thing you need is a letter saying you have been downloading dodgy materiel and have to pay a fine or worse...

Im totally up for this, was a regular on Fifa 11 PC team play, but only after 12am UK time usually, which will be the case for this too. Very experienced player here and i am fairly skilled at every position apart from goalkeeper. My playing style is a fast passing game.

Posted this in the other fifa thread, but figured i should also post it here.

Just a heads up guys. Its possible to play now if you really cant wait.

All you need is to use a vpn to give you an american ip address. I used this one, and the release date check passed and i was able to load up the game and play. Note, the ea servers are not up yet so the game spends two minues looking for the ea servers on boot.

Go into origin, change location to us. Google ea profile, login change location to us.

Download windows client. Install, register, confirm email. In the webpage that follows click connect. Once connected right click on the vpu icon on the windows taskbar and make sure you can connected to private tunnel.

Open origin and click play on fifa. Start fifa, quit fifa. And youre good to go. You can now uninstall the vpn, disconnect first. Then change your location settings back.

I thought the release date has been changed to today? I am installing it now. 80% installed :)
 
Now it has finished installing from disc, it is downloading a 3.3gb update on origin. What the ****...
 
Really looking forward to this gonna pull a all nighter to get my pro up to speed i feel, i will start adding people on orgin i will mainly be using that for my fifa needs.

no need mate. just give me your steam name and i will invite u to teh fifa 12 steam group. about 11 of us are on it now mate

So the update is essentially mainly replacing, not adding it seems.
