***** The Official Fifa 12 Thread *****

Yes it is the web based app :)

Me and a few hardcore fifa mates have come to the conclusion after playing the demo a lot that it is crap and unenjoyable to play against the CPU. As they seem to have a force field around them yet can take the ball off yourself with ease! Also they seem to intercept passes rather roo easily.

IMO they should have based player vs CPU matches on how your typical player vs player match pans out. By this i mean to base how often passes are intercepted for example.

Somethnig i found is that my players were in bad positions a lot of the time. But this is probably due to me lacking skill!

i think playing against the CPU is more along the lines of, there allways one step ahead of you, the reactions and tactical awareness is crazy from the cpu on legendary, if you fake shot, there rite there in your face :D

mmmm tuesday :)

Might start a smallish league up pretty soon after release so we can all get some games and practice in. I don't like to jump in competitively online until I'm up to speed with things so would want to play some friendlies so arranging a league would sort that out.

Rumor going around that the CPU for the demo was designed to only test your ability with the new defending. That was the main purpose for the demo.

Playing the AI is so boring. Went back to Fifa 11 UT for now. Can't stand playing the AI, no matter how good Fifa 12 is.

I really hope they add new features to the web app and its not just a reskin.

Just slightly off subject, Although the players are more detailed is there any reason why they dont have tattoos?

After asking yourself the question I noticed that Alex Song of Arsenal has his Lips Tattoo on his neck in Fifa12!

Boateng has too :)

ps3ud0

I need to move my PS3 to somewhere more accessible. Having it attached to the TV means the other half gets annoyed when I want to play FIFA. Might have to share the PC monitor so I can get some practice in!

Not really imo, it will probably be in the supermarkets for less than £30 on release.

its the 20% off packs that makes it worth it if you play Ultimate team, in theory you will get 1 free pack every 4-5 packs you buy, ive done the working out and its well and truely worth it if you buy packs, your not paying for the 3days early, your paying for the 20% off.

if you dont play UT then no.

id love to know if the 20% works with coins.

Is it worth paying that £40 or whatever it is to buy that EA subscription that lets you get Fifa 3 days early?

It's £17. :)

And it depends. As Anksy has said, if you intend on buying a good amount of packs, then yes, otherwise no, not really. The early play is nice but not worth £17.

Plus you get a SPECIAL BADGE. :p

I'm hoping that the web app will be awesome this year. All I'd like is to be able to check detailed player stats (ala pressing the right analogue stick) in the trading part and to be able to buy packs online with MSP/Cash/EA Points or whatever.

I wonder if they'll record friendly wins + losses this year in UT. I must have played about 500 games with my work friend/boss and it'd be cool to see just how badly I thrashed him - and also an improvement on the goal scorers for your club (maybe have it showing all your players over time and their games played, goals) and I'd like for it record assists too, as they're just as important an indicator as goals scored.

Excited much? :D

Probably, for a start, a hybrid of Serie A or La Liga defence & midfield, few argies in midfield then Aguero @ CAM/CF and Maybe Tevez/Messi in the long run, but time will tell.

Will start out for a low budget La Liga/Serie A team.

one of the main things i wanted to see, and ive wanted to see for years is seperate ID's for multiplayer matches with stats, not online, because i have a few friends round all the time and we play allot to say the least, and its annoying not being able to see how many each of us have won, who against, how many goals weve scored against each other and so on, we allways end up on the same argument....how many weve won against each other...whos better etc etc :p

It'll depend at the start as to what kinds of players I pull from packs. I'll be going 433, and eventually going to 3412 if it's as good as it was in FUT11. Wouldn't be surprised if I go EPL at the start, and then hybrid EPL/La Liga. (Although I liked Serie A last year, so maybe. :3)
