what do you dislike about it?

if it's conceding goals then formations with CDM's help a lot.

if it's linking up play then you need some CAM's, etc. but most people dont get on with 1 striker.

4321 (the 2 wingers play as LF and RF essentially)
41212 (expensive but this is because it works, the LM and RM need to be all rounders, not just attackers, as they will be helping out at the back too)
4231 (i really liked this when i first started but i found the lack of 2 strikers to use 1-2's annoying)

all are very good but different.
 
If you like playing on the break and can't do build up you can try 5 at the back? 5-2-2-1 is pretty good, I used to use it when I played like a **** (:p). Basically, 5 at the back makes it harder to concede, play two passers in the CM roles to feed the top 3 who are always isolated against the opponents back 4?

i know 3 guys who use this formation when we do "tourney's" in real life on the 1 console, as opposed to over the net.

all 3 of them are very good players, the only problem i can see is that he can essentially only have 1 of 3 teams unless he can make a clever hybrid.

Brazil

Luiz/Dede -- Lucio -- Silva

Serie A

Chiellini -- Lucio -- Silva

EPL

Luiz -- Kompany/Vidic -- Toure/Richards


it's hard to find 3 solid CB's for a team and 2 of them be fast enough to cope if your full back pushes up field too much

also if your looking at Silva i dont see the point in half your players, i thought the whole point was that they are all italian? if your looking at silva it defeats the purpose of you having that team, as serie a has much better players in it than half of the ones you have chosen.

Stek, Cambiasso, IF Nag/Taiwo, etc.

then you also have italians such as Rossi, IF Balotelli, Di Natale, Santon who are good to have if your thinking keep it pure italian, maybe even try De Rossi (CDM version) at CB and get Pirlo or SIF Marchisio in the CM slot.

I'm not looking at Silva though, I even said I'd have liked him but then it wouldn't be an Italian national team, and also it would be like 80% of my coins gone on a centre back when I don't even have a problem with my current defenders.

Stekelenburg is your preference but Buffon has single handedly kept me in games at times, he is amazing for me, saves long shots, makes great reaction saves up close, decent throwing but his kicking isn't fantastic. Doesn't bother me because he can get it to the halfway line at least and I normally throw the ball anyway.

SIF Marchisio is not worth the 50,000 or so that it would take to capture him, I already have the 83, I'm not going to pay a ridiculous sum of money for what will be a very minor improvement. Same with Pirlo, I had him in a Juventus side and his improvement over the standard card was pretty unnoticeable during actual play.

Again, playing De Rossi at CB would be ridiculous for me, firstly because I converted the one I have from a CDM to CM, secondly because Chiellini and Ogbonna are more than good enough, Bonucci is fine for back up too.

Di Natale, Rossi or IF Balotelli?

i would say Rossi would help you out if you like to finesse shot, playing him on the right with his left foot, would be awesome.

I have him in my Liga BBVA team as a link up ST and he scored an awesome finesse shot the other day.

Got Rossi on the bench but I prefer to start with Miccoli and Pazzini has been in such good form for me online that he's undroppable at the moment. Might start giving Rossi more starts if you rate him highly. Do you think Di Natale would be better at CF or ST in that formation? Also, is he still good at free kicks because I remember him being immense at them in FIFA 11. If I'm keeping it Italian I guess the only midfield 'improvements' would be SIF Marchisio and IF Pirlo? I can't think of any more Italian midfielders who are better than the ones I have, though like I said I don't wanna spend all those coins on those two players when I don't think they'd be much better than what I have, though I do like IF cards... :p

Hope they release an up version of De Ceglie, I haven't tried Santon yet, De Ceglie is good for me, really solid but his non-rare card looks ugly compared to all the shinies. Wish he had sponsored boots too. :(

EDIT: Just thought, is Gamberini in this year? Think that was his name, the CB from Fiorentina who had an IF card last year, he was great.

Yup, Taiwo is fast, but he doesn't seem that great on the ball and never seemed as solid as De Ceglie does for me. He was great last year as well if I remember rightly, just hope they upgrade him to a shiny 81 or something. :)
 
Hmmm, my team is proving to be annoying when swapping in subs and whatnot, getting chem 9 is difficult. My go all La Liga but the CM's in that league are too slow (Xavi, Alonso, Fabregas etc)
 
Anyone think of a squad that can incorporate Neymar and Aguero with preferably this back 4, Marcelo Luiz Lucio Maicon but if not then any back 4. Or 3, or 5.

Di Natale at CF - 81 passing will help out a lot and his finesse shot from outside the box is lethal, but only really effective if your on the left side as opposed to the middle or right.

he has an awesome power free kick, but tbh i dont get on with his style of free kick, in fact i haven't got on with anyone's style this year when it comes to free kicks apart from Villa. Last year i got on with Elano and Diego extremely well.

i have scored one screamer with Di Natale powered into top corner from about 32 yards but that's been it really, his stats are amazing but i dont get on with them. his power seems to be too much as most go slightly over wvwn though i dont try and smash them, i try and go up and over the wall and dip slightly.
