Yeah i know exactly what you mean when i watch the you tubers play its very ping pong like there is no real style or skill to there play it often comes down to luck and who gets the breaks.

I like to play the ball around try play nice football which makes it hard to get consistent results

I switched to pro evo and finding it way more enjoyable and rewarding.

Get the beta later on today i hope, did get an email saying the 18th but not sure if they mean midnight or morning. Either way i'm busy til later anyways.
I love Fifa, took fifa 16 out of my console the other night for the first time since about October last year! Looking forward to Fifa 17.

I haven't played F16 in months! Was a disappointment tbh, 17 is looking promising but promises can be broken especially by EA!

This looks like the first proper release from them since new consoles have come out.

If you're a united fan you'll be happy with some inital ratings(taken from man u's site):
De Gea 91
Ibrahamovic 91
Shaw 80
Bailey 82
Smalling 85
Darmian 81
Schweinsteiger 86
Pogba 87
Rooney 86
Martial 82
Mkhitarayan 87

My thoughts on this.... Schweinsteiger should be low 80's having barely played, Darmian should be 80, Pogba 88-89, Rooney 84 others i agree with.

Be interesting to see what Stones is rated after his big money signing after what i'd say was a poor season. Also want to see Rashford getting at least mid 70's. Finally if Ibrahamovic is 91 then Aguerro should be around that if not a little higher. Rooney's is a surprise.
 
Watching that 2vs2 game with Reus, there's still so much of the current BS in the game despite the move to the new engine. That one Munich goal where I think it's Lewandowski shoots, the keeper parries it and it falls back perfectly to him so he shoots again, it hits the post and bounces perfectly into his path yet again and the third time he taps it into the empty net, all while the keeper is just flapping about on the floor and the defenders are nowhere to be seen.

I'll probably still buy it mind... :o
 
looking at the ratings for other teams some have been changed some are the same so i suspect there's a lot of changes to be had before the game release. Vardy's only 80 rated, Nasri is 83 rated lol

I'm guessing those ratings are not final, or if they are then we are either going to see a massive inflation in player ratings this year or there are some criminally overrated players in there. De Gea at 91, Smalling at 85, Mkhi at 87 are all a couple of points above what I would consider absolutely max rating for their non-informs.

All I noticed, if I didnt know there was an engine change Id have said it was still on the old engine with an improvement to the graphics. Hopefully people used to 16 that try 17s beta/demo can add more info as right now I still prefer what PES is doing...

I think they'll be tweaked, but the team as a whole should be rather good this year (I mostly play seasons, not FUT).

Hopefully the new engine will be good, I think FIFA will always be infuriating due to the complex nature of the game with rebounds/physics etc.

FIFA will never not be infuriating. There will always be people suspecting scripting and handicapping. It is what it is. It's the same for everyone! All we can do is enjoy and keep buying new controllers :D
