^ agreed - Japes is pretty much the only Fifa YouTuber I can bear to watch, useful for lots of gameplay tips.

Anyone had any luck with RWs by the way? I've used Mane, Deulofeu and Shaqiri and they all seem awful. Willian is hella expensive so he's not really an option.

Also swapping out Coutinho, maybe for Eriksen, as he's a bit lightweight and his shooting is actually pretty dire. I've never been a long range shooter but even from the edge of the box he's been underwhelming.

Eriksen is great for me , finesse shots just around the D area and its in the back of the net left or right foot.

Japes is struggling this year but he's going all out this weekend to win gold level 1 his wife has been packed off somewhere:p

Do Youtubers really earn enough from adverts to not have to work ?
 
Depends on the amount of views, but even a guy like Docks who doesn't get the most views manages to support himself solely through providing content. Think he racks up about 2 million views a month if my memory serves.

Welcome to episode 4 of the FIFA 17 season for FUTStock. We've had a little break to attend to some real life stuff (playing retro games at Play Expo Manchester), but we're back in the groove and loving FIFA.

We discuss our latest squad projects, with Metz now having 3 effective budget squads and Quads_IMO too busy grinding SBC's.... we've lost him to the new feature it would seem!

We also chat briefly about where the find the best value in OTW's and who to avoid.

Our 'novelty player of the week' returns, as Metz elects an a nice all-rounder that becomes a god with certain chemistry cards applied.

I ended up selling him for 1.24m. I've never had anything close to this amount of coins before (previous highest balance was about 65k in FIFA 15!), so I have no clue on how best to spend / invest this!

Any suggestions? I currently play with a La Liga team, but it's not the best, really.

ive managed to beat players with a similar squad against my inferior rubbish squad purely down to tactics and the way i play
 
Completed the Hybrid League SBCs this morning, got nothing meaningful whatsoever. Not bothered about the League/Nation hybrid as a kit means nothing to me, and the NOS/MLS/player ones just look like too much. They're incredibly addictive though.

Might give a proper go at trying to qualify for Weekend League tonight, will probably fail.

Honestly? If you have a playable team right now, and you can hold off for 4-6 weeks, FUT United drops late November, loads of free packs, loads of lightning rounds, if last year is anything to by you'll see player prices drop by 25%ish. Then again if you hold on for 6 weeks after that then TOTY will be here and prices will drop even further.

Another option would be to build a team around OTW cards and hope that informs drop. Pjanic's OTW card went from 150k to 300k overnight on Tuesday (PS4) as there was an expectation he would be in the TOTW, but he wasn't. Guys like Higuain, Ben Arfa and Pjanic will rise a great deal if they get a TOTW. Of course, they could do what that Napoli striker did and get injured and you'll lose money too.

Yup, sometimes because of lag, sometimes because Fifa has just decided your players don't fancy it.

I just lost the dullest 3-1 game in the world, player was pretty awful but every time he passed the ball to a player stood directly behind my player it would magically get there, every time he ran into me he would keep it, every header etc. You get games like that yourself where you know you are going to win because everything just comes off when you try it, you can't give the ball away when you try.
 
I'm using 433(4) but with the full backs told to stay back which seems to have helped a lot.

My last 2 games have been thoroughly unpleasant, particularly the last one that just became laughable against a guy with 78 chemistry whose players couldn't be tackled, he couldn't actually give the ball away when he was just passing straight at my players. Meh. Can't even get annoyed.
 
Anyone used Griezmann? Just sold up and will have about 400k total to build a team, ideally around him as I want to try some of the 'super' players now.

Here is my team for the weekend league - not hoping to do too much, have a black tie party on Saturday so will probably be busy all day, then imagine I'll be hungover on Sunday. If I can get into Silver 2 I'll be happy.

How does that formation play? 433(4) I can't carry on using as pads are expensive and I'll end up breaking one!

Tried 4231 defensively fine but almost impossible to break down a defence. Trying 4321 now:mad:
