Lol lazy get. :p

In a way I hate getting ex-players to join the coaching team. Say I get Giggs, Scholes and Neville to become coaches the cheeky gets all ask for their playing salaries as their coaching salaries.

So there is me thinking that when they retire and join the club as coaches I can get the wage bill down a bit to afford the wages of their replacements. No chance. :p

I can't say I've experienced the wage problem, they all seem content with 3-4k salaries! On the subject, Henry's decided to retire rather than become a coach...the git!
I was only paying him £600 a week as a player though. :p

My mates saved game got corrupted. He had been playing 07 for about a year straight and was up to 2039 or something stupid. Made me laugh anyway :D

Just out of interest. Anyone ever managed Hyypia from Liverpool? Another friend of mine had him playing till he was around 38 in the first team. His overall stats hardly decreased and his pace/acceleration stayed roughly around the same (already slow enough!)

I always feel sorry for the so called world class players from years gone by who end up playing at cranky clubs. Deco was at a first division side in England if i'm not mistaken and Gerrard was playing for Plymouth around the age of 36. :D

Eduardo? Are we talking Les Gooners ici? :p Silva? As in David Silva? As in the one with the £62m buyout fee? Unless he's signed a new contract with a higher minimum release fee I see no reason to give Valencia £75m PLUS a player!

Silva as a player is worth it but to give away a player and £75m is where you get into the land of use the £75m to buy 3-4 other quality players who won't be as good as Silva individually but collectively work well for you and you get to keep Eduardo. :)

Yep, Gooner Eduardo. I have £96 million burning a hole in my pocket! Squad is currently:

GK: Fabianski / Ruffier
DL: Sakho / Traoré
DR: Sagna / Can't remember
DC: Richards / Breno
DC: Touré / Djourou
ML: Rosicky / Sergio Mota
MR: Arteta / Hleb
MC: Pirlo / Diaby
MC: Fabregas / Modric
FC: Podolski / Eduardo
FC: Van Persie / Adebayor

David Silva currently has a £106 million buy out clause, lol. Eduardo has been doing ok in the last 3 seasons, consistent when he does play but not spectacular, but keeps picking up random injuries. Looking for a decent right winger really, Arteta/Hleb are being average, meh! Hence I was wondering if £75m+ was worth it on Silva, as I only really need one player and I'd like it to be someone like him. Can you recommend any equivalents that aren't going to break transfer fee records across the universe? :p

Ouch! Did he not back the game up?

Ah well then. :)

If you are confident your team will be stable for a few years and won't need to buy in lots of new players go for it. First though try offer £40m, £50m etc until they accept.

Otherwise Matias Fernandez of Villareal fame is pretty good. In FM he's a right-footed AM LC so he could probably be trained up to be an AM RLC. :)

Tell him he's a pillock. :D

Doesn't FM have some helpful saving system? Just checked and it is called "Auto Save Mode". With Single File, Incremental Auto Save, 3 File Rolling Auto Save, 5 File Rolling Auto Save and 10 File Rolling Auto Save.

David Silva is good, but over rated and not worth paying £75m for. There are better and cheaper options available than him. The two that I would look for are Hatem Ben Arfa of Lyon and the young Spaniard Aquino (can't remember where he starts though).

On a side note, I know why Arteta isnt playing well, he doesn't like playing as a wide man. Put him in the middle where he belongs, also, you haven't signed Lulinha as a right sided midfielder, you need shooting :D

Justin, Matt, Chris and Andy, I have just sent your emails to SI in relation to the Beta testing so your invites should come through shortly.

Look me up in game for some friendlies, team name is Slightly Vicious.

Just made two cheeky bids for Zapata and Criscito of £17m & £30m, both got accepted!
Which do i go for though? Or both, and sell Marzoratti?

Not again lol! :D

How old is Marzoratti?

Btw anyone made young players but with good bravery and influence stats their captain and removed older players from the job?

On a new Man Utd game and since Neville/Giggs are getting old and won't play very often they aren't my first choices for Captain and Vice-Captain respectively. So I made my new MC/DMC Alberto Zapater my new captain as I intend to keep him for a long while, he's 22 and has 17 for bravery and 15 for influence which makes him top of the pile if you discount the oldies. :D

I think its a good move as he'll be playing quite a few matches in MC for me and then his vice-captain is Vidic.

So what I'm wondering is does making a young player captain help their influence stats? Or will the influence stats only be affected by their training?
