So who's playing the FM Live Beta?
I got my invite and did as it asked but everytime I fire FML up, it says it can't find the server or something a long the lines of that. Any ideas? Do I need to open up any ports on my router or anything like that?

Andy, last night the game was down for maintenance, some silly little so and so decided they would try and exploit the game and cheat their way to success. So while SI were rectifying the problem they decided to take all GW offline.
Should be back up and running today though.
As for getting the information on the SI site. Now you are in Beta you need to email SI (address is on the welcome screen of FML) and ask for access to the Beta forum (all information and server status is in the secure pages). They will ask for your SI Games forum name (assuming you already have one, if not, sign up). The game world your in, in your case GW10 and your forum log in. They will then allow you access.

It has the potential to do that.
The problem will only get worse when the new season starts this Friday. On that note, just in case your not aware, the Football Associations close for membership this evening, and after the deadline (8pm I think) you will not be able to enter an FA and therefore not be involved in any league matches for the next 3 weeks, thus losing out on lots of potential revenue and prize money (£350k just for finishing last in the league). So make sure you have signed to an FA.
FYI I am in the Nighttime Football Association where the league games are played between 10pm and 1am. There are FA's available for those who can play at all times. The Extreme Football Association is the only one where games can be played 24/7 and thats competitive.

One more question, whats the username and password you get email from SEGA? Is that for the actual game to log in?
Just started a new game as I just got a new laptop. Playing as Man Utd and playing pretty well except lost 3-1 to Barnsley in the League Cup.

When you get an email from SEGA they give you the username and password for the client download, is that the one you are referring to? (The one with a team name in it).
The actual log in to the game is your own, you should create an account with SEGA and thats the log in account (create account from the FML log in screen).

Actually Mpenza gave me more of a shock, I can see Tevez giving a solid Rio impersonation more than Emile giving a good impression of a competent striker 
Does anybody know of any decent Football Manager sites? I used to read one in the past where people used to make stories using their FM leagues (if you know what I mean, anyway I liked reading them and the rest of the forum, so, which FM forums do you frequent?

Phew. What an end to the season. Won it on the last day by a point because i had a game in hand! .

Interesting transfer window. I was literally just buying youngsters as all my big signings had already been made.
Real wanted to know how much i wanted for Rosina, i didnt want to sell, so i set him at £40m and thought that'd be the end of it.
They bid £40m, the chairman accepts, so i quickly offered Rosina +15k on his wages for 5 years and he accepted! Problem averted!.
First time ive had the chairman do that to me.

Its at the bottom of the player interaction screen. Go to the screen of the younger player and select the player you want to train him in the drop down box. You can't do it with all players, only young players that haven't had too much first team football.

Think they have to be under 21 or something to be tutored/mentored?
