FM06 was therefore seen as a safe update with improvements on FM05. Then FM07 was another "new" release with new features etc with FM08 being the "safe release". I really hope you are right. I feel the game has lost its way over the last few years.
 
Just got a warning from the FA for complaining about the following:

Commentary read: "Aguero was clearly obstructed by McCarthy" which reads as if Aguero has been fouled??

Blackburn however were given a penalty for this incident and so I complained (which I only do if the commentary tells me I'm right) and got a warning.

Is it just me who thinks I should have got the free-kick?
 
Hmm you as well. I've noticed a few times that Anderson or Nani etc were obstructed by a player from the other team but they got the free kick or something. I ignored it as I only got a quick glance at the commentary and thought I was misreading it. Perhaps not.
 
Does FM support multi core CPUs?

Also I'm doing a lot better than I expected with Sunderland I just couldn't stop winning against big teams in my first season. In my second season I managed to sign Vincent Kompany, Luiz Jimenez, Skjelbred (he ain't that great and I overpaid for him) and for the first time ever in any FM I managed to sign Freddy Adu. Also had the stadium expanded by 15000 and got top facilities for youth. Stupdly enough though even with all the better players I don't seem to be doing as well in my second season.

I often find that sometimes happens, but you do get hints saying too many signings may upset the balance etc. maybe one of the players you have brought in have caused a bit of upset inside the squad.
 
I finally got bored of my most recent game ended up at PSG after spells with Boro, Man Utd, England & Inter.

Won pretty much every cup available to me but with it been done on both my PC & Laptop (when at work) my hall of fame doesnt seem to update correctly does anyone know where the hall of fame details for the game are saved to see if I can transfer cups won on the PC to the laptop etc im not sure if this is even possible though.

My career ended up in the year 2022/23 not many real players are left, although Messi & Bojan are still at Barca :D

But started to get bored/annoyed after I took over PSG winning the league numerous times and the French Cup along with the UEFA Cup once but struggled to keep my best players because as soon as big clubs came in the Chairman accepted offers instantly :(

Started another game during the Euros with Croatia because I was bored, and then soon gave up on that one. Really cant wait for FM09 now :D
 
Right been messing around with a few games with the likes of Arsenal and Man City but its pretty boring playing in the Premiership. So I used to play as Plymouth a lot but never had much success, would always finish mid table (which I guess is accurate).

Could you guys suggest some good players I could get at Plymouth so I could push for promotion? Think I will always get Bogdan Stancu up front. But what about other positions? Who is good on a budget?

^ Lauri Dalla Valle would do a good job (MC/FC) - you can get him v. cheap unless you've got the update where he's at Watford.
 
Update on my game;

Just finished the 2013-14 season, was toying with playoffs for a lot of the season till had a few key injuries, so ended up 9th.

Im stuck in League 2 having brought my team up from the Blue Square South though.

So gotta build on my team for next season and get promotion!

My key players are;

Tamer Mitchell (ST) - 48 apps, 47 goals, 12 assists, 11 motm this season.
Tamas Szekeres (ST) - 38 apps, 33 goals, 14 assists, 9 motm this season.
Lucian Sanmartean (AMC) - 37 apps, 8 goals, 16 assists this season.

Tamer Mitchell has an impressive scoring record in his career;

104(4) apps, 90 goals, 22 assists and 11 motm with an average rating of 7.61, which isnt bad for a 22 year old!

Im gonna aim to get to premiership and win a few things before FM09, atm its going slowly.. but once i get into League 1 i can attract more players i guess! Got super Simon Davies though!

Had an offer earlier for Leiscter in Championship, £850k wages, £11m budget. But turned it down, good/bad?
 
Morning all
Really need some help, took over leeds in FM08 (haven’t played champo in ages just getting back in). First season, with the 15 pt deficit, we finished 6th and didn’t make it through the play offs.
Had a few quid in the summer so bought jay bothroyd who I had on loan in the first season and did very well and Philip Christanval. Also got a Romanian AMRC and a few others. Realistically I should have one of the best teams in the division.

Got off to a poor, inconsistent start and then started messing with formations that I downloaded and its all gone pear shaped (I know I know shouldn’t mess with formations every game). My defensive record is top 6 material (although I seem to concede a lot of late goals) but I cant seem to score enough even though Bothroyd and Harsayni (on loan from Bolton) are both doing ok.

It is Christmas now and im in the bottom 8, really need to start getting some results. So I need help with 2 things. A decent formation for League 1 and recommendations of players to sign in January (not got a large database unfortunately). Also I reckon my keeper is useless!

Yeh, my weakness is at the back. Im used to defensive sides, and this one really isnt, so im trying to figure out what formation to do.

I let in the 8th to most.
 
Gr. Chairman accepted bids for my best players, so ive lost my best goalscorer, keeper, centre back, left winger, attacking mid and left back.

Im now getting absolutely mullered in the league, and fighting to stay clear of relegation :/. Now sitting in 23rd, 15 games gone and have a silly 9 points.

Bet i end up relegated, ho hum.
 
So glad to have FM back.

Started a new game, wanted a LLM so I decided to Put Blackburn in the Conf North.

took all our players/staff except the under 18's. Also downsized the stadium, and took my scouts ability down etc

Currently 7th in Dec and 2nd Fa Cup
