As someone already said earlier I think, his stats are Monstrous. Will post a screenie of his profile on my game so far in a bit, it's ridiculous. He hasn't been playing that well though :rolleyes::p

In other news, just signed myself a new contract, on £135,000 per week now, woohoo! How much are you guys earning for yourselves?

After guiding Lyon to 7 successive Ligue 1, Coupe de la Ligue and French Cup titles and 2 successive Champions League titles I have just signed a brand new 2 year contract worth £15,000 a week, boy the French know how to spoil you.
 
After throwing away a 3 goal lead to lose on penalties in the conference play-off final :eek: , I've just left conference side Halifax to join L1 side Charlton Athletic on a contract worth £2,200 a week :)
 
Getting a bit bored of 08 now, can't wait for 09.

In the meantime I've just updated the database to take into account all major premiership transfers (plus some smaller ones) to date and the management changes. Have also released various players from the conference and updated promotion / relegation. Not sure if i've done the play-offs though.

If anyone wants a copy then I'm happy to send it across - let me know any mistakes :)

Thats my game where I've played with the finances a bit, so that may have something to do with it :D

I take it you've edited your manager stats as well and thats why you've cut the image a bit? :p

Don't see the point in tinkering with finances myself. Takes away part of the challenge. I'd hate it being too easy. Its fine when you build a team up and it becomes easy because you think ahhh I've done this this club is all mine I'm going to enjoy it after all the struggle.

I haven't played a game other than my Hyde United one. Always get tempted to but then can't be bothered :p

No I've just messed with finances. Theres nothing of interest that I've cut off is there? I don't do it normally but I just created a game to muck about in.
 
I think 09 is going to have to be something different. If it's another yearly update with a few more bells and whistles, I think I will give it a miss for the first time since......

I can't remember that far back, but puberty was underway.
 
Well there is this unofficial theory about FM. FM05 was SI Games' first go at the game alone after the Eidos split. So that could be considered a "new" game. FM06 was therefore seen as a safe update with improvements on FM05. Then FM07 was another "new" release with new features etc with FM08 being the "safe release". So this theory that isn't grounded in terms of evidence says that FM09 is a big new release of FM and that FM10 would be the tidying up game.
 
Im in 2013 atm, Sutton Utd in League 2..looks like i wont reach play offs this time.

My chairman decided to accept an offer for my best player on my behalf, and he wouldnt sign a new contract.. so i ended up losing a few games.. was 7th now 13th :(. Then my next best striker ended up injured, not good!

Had a season where I didn't win anything. Team just wasn't performing, a few new young players were still trying to settle in the squad. Year after that I won every competition entered and then the same the season after I think? Not played it for a little while mind you. Will check now though...

Chelsea have been up and down like a yoyo for about 6-7 seasons now. Not sure they'll be back in the Prem this next season so its likely to be between them and Man United for Championship glory :p
