I joined Stuttgart in 2010 in my game...

Totalled £289m on transfers, with £386.5m in sales.

Getting lots of youngsters who have big potential, most turn out good.. sell them on for lots of money.

80% of my players get sold when they hit around 29 or 30 and you still get a good amount of cash for them.

Just finished a 6-5 (8-6 agg) game against Juventus!

Won it though :D

Two Hat-tricks in the game, one for both sides... A Champions League Quarter Final has never been so gripping :p

I dont normally spend big, but this team should last a fair few years now. Once Gattuso, Pirlo, Nihat and a few others are a bit older they'll be replaced. I remember in a Fulham game i had spent £98m in 9 years. Also a team from Conference, i spent till championship £944k :p.

Without the 29+ my team is averaging 21. So not too bad.

Next season i'll only buy a few youngsters i reckon.

21 is very good, I'm currently in... I guess you could call it... a transition phase with Stuttgart.

My young players aren't good enough to make it into the first team whilst my players in their late 20's and early 30's are still much better than anyone else.

My average age is 25 so it's not that bad to be honest. With my youngest first team player being 19 and the oldest being 32. I've got a 17 year old (regen) called Manuel Vera who to play a little in my reserves and give him a chance every now and then in the first team as he looks like he'll be my next big star.

My best player has done this for me though, but he's 32 now and looks like he could pack it in any season now.

I had to laugh at this though :D I was asked if a player called "Jan Beer" (a young regen who I sold) would cause me problems in my up-coming game...

.

Hes at Bayern atm, on a season long loan.

Nihat is reaching 30, so he will end up being the rotation striker anyway.

Built a very strong team.. it only took;

£242m, but £57m sales :p.

£62m a season average, nice :p.

I was going to say, its not like you to spend big :p

Very nice record there, regen?

Ah thanks. I'l take a look tomorrow. Hardly on MSN, but Ive had a few people saying I should get on. I'l be on tomorrow at some point I guess.

Coming up to December in my first season as Milan. Van der Vaart is not doing so well for me. Think Ive bought the wrong player :p

Also do I keep Flamini or Ambrosini? I do play Gattuso, Pirlo and Tymoschuk more.

can someone decide which "big" team i should go for, i've only ever played as championship sides in football manager 08 *having bought it the day it was out*

i'd like to play as a "big" club, in europe :) any ideas ? well just say a team and i'll go play as them.

I got rid of Ambrosini myself. I play Gattuso and Pirlo, with Flamini and Veloso rotated.

You keep them all!
Dont sell Ambrosini, or Bonera for that matter.
So under-rated its unreal, both are great well into their thirties.

Ambrosini has gone.

Ronaldino isn't playing too well in my system atm. Nor is Van der Vaart. I think they could see the exit door at the end of the season to generate some cash for new signings.

Spent the rest of my budget on Eto'o! Had actually £26m left but the board upped it to £32.5m to match Barcelona's asking price. I love the board :)

Lol, you playing 3 AMC's rather than wingers? He does very well for me.

Eto'o was a waste though ;)
